The Strained Wire + Garotte

The Strained Wire + Garotte is a sample library for Kontakt released by MODWHEEL:

• 4 metre lengths of wire and nylon line trimmer stretched over a bridge and soundboard. Hit with a mallet, picked, plucked, bowed and tortured.
• Recorded and sampled at 24-bit 96kHz multisamples. (508 samples).
• 2.2 gig (1.8 gig lossless compression).
• 51 Kontakt patches broken into 3 sections.

Bowed-Plucked-Mallet:

• 18 patches chromatically laid out over 5 Octaves. Up to 3 velocity levels and 8 round robins.

Garotte:

• 6 patches of tortured Wire FX and impacts.

Wilberforce Atmospheres:

• 27 patches of long evolving pads and textures created from the original recordings.

NOTE: All instruments are in .nki format for Native Instruments Kontakt, requiring a full version of Kontakt 5.3.1 or higher.
