Thrilled Groove

Thrilled Groove is a free 80s horror-funk mini synth for macOS and Windows (VST3, AU, Standalone).

It is a love letter to the sound of early-80s horror and funk: neon fog, gated drums, midnight basslines, Carpenter chase scenes and Thriller-era dance floors. Instead of a wall of parameters, you get six one-knob mood macros that each move the whole sound: Groove, Fright, Neon, Punch, Space and Age. Turn them and the synth slides between a chase scene and a 1983 dance floor.

Factory presets cover Bass, Stab, Lead, Pad, Bell and FX categories, with period-correct horror-funk voicing, neon arpeggios and gated-era textures, so you can drop a hook into a track in minutes.

Thrilled Groove is free forever: no licence key, no telemetry, no upsell inside the plugin. macOS builds are notarized universal binaries (Intel and Apple Silicon, macOS 10.13+); Windows builds are 64-bit for Windows 10/11.
