Touched is all you need to sculpt your own wall of sound. It's shoegaze-in-a-box.
Three stages: fuzz, tremolo, and reverb. Each stage has true bypass. Switch the signal order to put reverb before fuzz, which is the key to classic shoegaze tone.
Unique dynamics-controlled tremolo mode simulates the "glide" effect, where the pitch bends in response to how hard you play, made popular by My Bloody Valentine:
Dual-stage diode clipper with 4x oversampling. Three voicings shape the tone:
Built on a stereo plate reverb. The Amount knob controls the character and density of each mode, and Mix blends wet/dry.
Dense, dreamy, all-encompassing wash. Inspired by the Yamaha FX500 "Soft Focus" patch. Compression, EQ shaping, cross-channel delays, and a three-voice chorus on the reverb tail.
Not a true reversed recording. Multiple delay taps play back with rising gain, so sound appears to rise in volume backwards. Psychedelic, ethereal effect. Ready to be used at 100% wet mix setting.
Octave-up pitch shifter in the reverb feedback path. Each repeat climbs higher, building a stack of harmonics that rings out above the dry signal.
This is pitch-based modulation simulating a guitar's tremolo bar.
In Free and Sync modes, the pitch ebbs and flows in cycles, either at a manual rate or locked to your DAW's tempo (1/8 note up to 4 bars).
The really interesting one is Dynamics mode. The pitch modulations is envelope-controlled, meaning it responds to your strumming. This is the "glide" effect, made famous by My Bloody Valentine. Adjustable depth controls how far it goes. Listen to the audio samples to hear what it sounds like.
VST3, CLAP, and AudioUnit (macOS). Stereo in/out.
