A terrible software mess. Crashes, freezes, does not see all the drives. Bought this to move Kurzweil samples from computer to floppy. No luck. This was wasted money.

A waste of money... even in 2018. I have not managed to get the Korg Translator version to make a good sample even once. It crashes every two minutes. Not to mention, this program has an archaic form of copy protection. You need to wait ages for a cd to arrive in the mail......who does that?

Don't waste your money... this developer needs to go out of business, instead of continually ripping people off.

Good day everyone after reading a lot of negatives and positives from kvr site about translator and chicken system products if they are offering help and a phone number to assist you I'm willing to communicate if something fails from here on with my product we somtimes fail to call and depend so much on texting call the company direct to get that help they are offering I removed my negative post to give chicken system a chance I will go through any kind of issues and if I do get some i will call them direct and get them resolved as far as my use with translator it's been doing so far good there are some glitches but it could be occurring from MS updates, I don't know if the company has announced it yet but if anyone has Translator there is an update available, there were a bit of glitches when running the installation might be related to Windows 10 thank you and have a wonderful day everyone, and my apologies to Chicken System if I had any negative experiences in the past with you guys cheers!!.

I made the mistake of ignoring the bad reviews.

I mean, how bad could it be, right?

One of the posters above wrote..."

This was also my experience, totally useless trash.

I very rarely give a bad review.

This is a case of BUYER BEWARE.

Yea, the product didn't work.

Support drags it on for weeks with no results, while offering very little actual support.

I got the feeling that they are knowingly selling a dysfunctional product, and when you ask for your money back they just say "its your computer".

That's simply FRAUD.

Am so sorry that this has happen too you and all on this Forum I called them up for a different product called Kontakt Assistant it what was 20% dysfunctional but support got it to 80 percent functional and this was just by calling them, I still have other unresolved issues that need to be completed but I have not send any videos or error code at this moment since I have so much going on with my life but if you spent your money and you feel you are complete unhappy I would report them to Better Business Bureau!! I think it's only fair and yes I admit I have used there product before and there are flaws and issues that need to be corrected but I dont think its your computer could be a plethora of things with this company !!! I do feel you should get complete support especially for there expensive product let me know guys do report them as I'm just curious about the outcome I dont wish nobody bad but what is fair is fair!!! cheers and good luck!.

+1 from me to all the bad reviews here. The guy ithat supports translator is at least a weirdo. I have used extreme sample converter in the past on windows. That program although it supported much less formats it really worked. Translator advertises myriad formats and features and from my experience what really works is a small subset. In my opinion a fair price for this software would be 40 dollars max. It's a real mess. I have filed around 7 bug reports and I could file another 10 easily but I don't have the to spare for a lame product like this. This program is in beta. The guy thinks that users are beta testers.

The real problem is that there is no competition especially for max users. I wish a serious company in the future takes over the field of format conversions so that we get rid of this nightmare that is called Translator.

Some info about the program itself so as not people that I am just a hater getting revenge:

-Battery 3 conversions are dead alow, .

- Ableton simpler is not present as format(it is just a lie).

- replacing references is full of bugs(only kontakt works and not in all circumstances).

- autosampler is not working with my Babyface.

- slicer and slice formats are not working.

- wusikstation although not mentioned in the supported is available as read and write format but it's not working. For the record I contacted the translator guy(I finally he is just one guy that is making fun of a lot of people) and he told me that I had to buy the legacy translator 6 for wusikstation and other less popular. Me my self being a fool I gave him 30 more dollars to buy the legacy product because I have a lot of wusik libraries that I needed to convert. The guy still sells Cds. The CD has not been shipped yet after 2 weeks of purchase. Anyway i tried T6 on a Mac and guess what no wusik conversions possible. I contacted him and told me to install on awindows machine. After spending a week trying to install on a VM exchanging mails with a guy who was resetting the codes for the app which wouldn't actually install ont he windows VM, I finally managed to install it on windows. Tried there the wusik conversions and guess what!!! I got a message from the app that this format is not currently supported. The guy is a fraud or he is mentally hurt. Don't believe anything he says. If you need to have translator pay as less as you can for this mess, Else stay from it.

- instrument player is not working.

-the interface is sluggish on a Mac. There numerous undocumented and insure features and settings. There are functions that are not actually implented. The program works better in Sierra than in high Sierra or Mojave that I have tested. The whole thing is sloppy. If perform a big translation of a lot files you are stack on top of every other OS X window showing the progress of the translation. You can't actually cancel a translation.

And the list goes on.

So in general don't buy this if you have alternativee and.

Don't trust the guy behind translator. He selling on purpose a program that is not fully functional.
