VEXT is built around the idea that an effect can be performed, not just set. Each program has A and B sides, and the Morph A/B control continuously moves between them. When the two sides are related, the result is a smooth parameter shift. When they are different, routing, modulation, levels, and delay behavior transform together.

Inspired by the classic Lexicon Vortex, VEXT is not a generic chorus, delay, or reverb collection. It is a set of interlocking modulation, echo, filter, envelope, and looper-style structures with the odd musical logic that made this kind of processor so compelling.

Features

  • 16 effect programs with A/B banks for 32 source states.
  • Continuous A/B morphing with adjustable morph rate.
  • Tap-tempo echo divisions for independent Echo 1 and Echo 2 rhythms.
  • Two delay lines with up to 923ms each, or 1846ms in series configurations.
  • Envelope follower routed differently per algorithm for dynamic control.
  • Cross-feed and feedback/cross-feed paths for evolving echo patterns.
  • Stereo, dual mono, and mono-in/stereo-out processing structures.
  • Common 16-parameter performance surface across every program.
  • Classic rack-inspired workflow with program-specific parameter behavior.
  • Available as VST3, AU, and AAX.
