In a way this is the next version of Free Clip, but with more features, yet the same minimal CPU footprint and the same fast loading time. The sound is great, it has cool oversampling features and there are even distortion and a wavefolding distortion option. Furthermore the is the custom section, where you can combine such algorithms for the posiotive and negative site of the audio signal and do even an intended offset.
What made me buy this little cool tool is the GUI. It is so nice to use and the visual feedbacks of the signal is just great. More plugins should have such graphics. Totally worth the money; while it even does not cost that much at all! Thanks to the dev! (=.

This is a useful clipper with a nice sound and nice oversampling features. Also the CPU usage and loading time is just incredible low. The modes do sound different and are easy to access. Only thing I did not like that much is the GUI. The input and output volume is a bit clumsy to set. Luckily I found the "next version" of this plugin, which isn't free, but costs not so much: V-Clip. While this gives you more options, which are not always needed.
For people with a small budget this Free Clip is a really nice and useful clipper for free.

The ChowTape is easy to use and it sounds incredible. Also it is not only totally free, but also open source, which I find really likeable.

Already there (aka "Pro"):
- extremely CPU friendly and fast loading.
- easy and fast to set up in general.
- good sounding.
- almost endless (?) patterns online in the Patternarium.
- minimalistic yet powerful.
- scriptable things.
- preset format is "open". So it seems to be some kind of JSON format, which is nice for geeks like me (-;
- many parameters can be linked to MIDI CC#s.
- easy and minimalistic, but useful preset system.
- after 10 years (if I read correctly) the development seems not dead yet, I guess ... at least that's my assumption, since the last update was in april 2020. Still waiting for the dev to "verify" (-;
Could be there (aka "Cons", or better: "Feature wishes"):
- some more sound noise types.
- filter envelopes.
- linking velocity to more parameters than just the three ones.
- polyphonic mode in the "Pitched MIDI mode".
- adjusting the decaying curves (especially for the pitch mod).
Really looking forward to the future of this plugin. (=.

My to-go loudness measurement tool. It is accurate, well designed, gives the best and most needed visual feedback and makes mixing fun! It even lets me export the loudness and dynamic range into a fancy PDF file - nice! I recommend it 100% - even the pro version, to at least support the dev, which would be well deserved. By the way: dev replies to feedback (any issues or FRs) quite fast. Thanks for this tool and that support!! (=.
Edit: After reading a feedback here: to me it is completely unfair to downrate this plugin, only because there might be buttons ghreyed out for the pro-version. 1. There is at least a free usable loudness meter version of it in the end (most loudness meters aren't free at all - I can just think of Meldaproduction - or are even quite expensive anyway ...) and 2. The pro-price is not even expensive at all AND includes lifetime free updates. As a professional in this area I call this small price almost "a gift to the users", like it did not cost anything at all ... (-;
... so please: especially keeping in mind that there is a free version, which just does its job (!!) and respecting that this tool is made by a single developer, I'd say it's just fair to not be bothered by greyed out buttons in a free version.
1. Installs two additional programms (TableWarp and Aria or so) and will not deinstall those, if you deinstall sforzando.
2. Is not a SF2 Player, but needs to convert the SF2 to SFZ first.
3. Will not play / convert it correctly so that the patches are not playbale.
