Excellent pedal (pre)amp with a lot of great sounds and additional features, even an additional IR loader, so in principle all you need and this at an affordable price.

Really good sounds, if you like these Fender vintage sounds. But...

...on the other hand, poor features like in the digital stone age, which means, like 20 to 30 years ago. The cabinet/speaker/microphone section cannot be deactivated, so you cannot use different IR's instead, the microphone settings are single fixed settings only without any adjustable axis, angle/distance controls and not even the manual gives you any informations about the used speakers.

So, as it at the moment is offered as freeware, acceptable, but I never bought a plugin with so poor, amateur level features, even if it may sound good. One reason, why I also am not so happy with the commercial Lion and Dream plugins. (The "Brown" sound of the Lion is just based on an added Echoplex preamp and not on a really modified José Arredondo circuit, which certainly does not sound the same. So this "Brown" sound is no professionally modded, real all-tube hot-rod Plexi but just an additional transistor preamp in front. For me typical farmer trapping for players without any knowledge. But "Brown" sound of course sells better. Especially, if you have not even to program it really authetically, like some competitors really did.).

A lot of competitors meanwhile do a more professional job and offer more user- and tweaker-friendly flexibility. But in the world of UA the only competitor even in 2015 seems to be a POD from 2000.

The positive is, the amp simulation itself sounds better than it does in the demo-video, which alone is strange, but matches my rather negative and unprofessional impression of UA meanwhile. (Why did nobody from UA pay the presenter a haircut and beard trimming before this video shot?).

So, nice as freeware, but worlds apart from being state-of-the-art in 2025 for me. Luckily there are more than enough alternatives available meanwhile...

Very cool and great sounding release.

I both know a lot of Leslie simulation plugins but also have been using this unit in reality for a long time and for me it does exactly, what you expect from a very good Leslie simulation, without needing to use the too heavy and too big original chest, while getting comparable, if not even better adjustable sounds.

Very warm, organically and vintage sounding, convincing and authentically sounding and behaving rotary tones, well and flexible adjustable (separate drum and horn speed adjustments plus drum and horn blending control). Also the guitar/keyboard inputs allow more flexibility, not to speak of the tube drive intensity control. If you use a Hammond organ plugin, you can easily adjust even typical Jon Lord sounds, but of course also very clean but still warm and organically sounding ones, but also sounds great with guitar in front of eg. a Tweed, Vox or Marshall amp, but also works well with more modern amps.

The effect can be very subtle, but also very intense and everything in between, but it always sounds really good.

I personally like this unit even more in combination with a (polyphonic) octaver plugin with -1 oct setting, almost gives you some sort of fake-synthesizer sounds from your guitar or bass, or use it with a Taurus, MiniMoog, OB-Xa or Prophet5 and you also get awesome sounds and if you activate Break, you still have a wonderful warm and great sounding tube preamp active without this typical Leslie modulation.

Once again proves, that Mr. Nembrini still does a great job. For me one of the best and most authentically sounding effect (pedal) plugins, I ever have heard.

Top-notch.

The other classic British sound.

Well made "Classic" with some modern (additional fx) improvements.

One of the best and most authentically sounding Orange amp simulations, I have heard up to now.

The amp istelf at first glance - and if you do not already know it - looks very puristic, but the sounds are not at all, rather very, very flexibly adjustable.

I always have been a fan of Hi/Lo inputs, the F.A.C. control is a gem, so I always had been surprised, why it never has been used in a lot of other amps. The principle is simple, different, switchable coupling capacitors, which control the bass intensity, here after the first two gain stages, as far, as I know. A Baxandall tone control is the next gem, as it allows, if you know, how to adjust it properly, not only good bass and treble but also midrange control, lower the controls, and you get some sort of fake-mid-boost, increase them, and you get some mid scoop and in between a nice flat response too, technically the mids remain untouched, but you can boost or cut bass and treble intensively and therefore you can adjust very different frequency curves. HF Drive, as some sort of Presence does a good job and Gain of course also does, what it should.

Nice pre- and post-fx section, ok, two compressors I do not really need, also not, as Orange amps anyway do not react as dynamically as Marshalls, but Noise Gate, a very flexibly adjsutable Doubler and 808 Octane are really good additions. Post-fx delay and reverb do a good job, although I had preferred a tape echo (Echoplex or Copicat) and a spring reverb, but ok. The equalizer can be helpful for more complex sound shaping or for some precise HP/LP filtering, on the other hand the amp's tone controls mostly also can do the job for me. But still nice for adjusting a different voicing, no doubt.

The built-in cabinets work fine, alternatively you can use the IR loader.

The sound quality is excellent, a nice alternative to a vintage Marshall, similar in some ways, different in others, so there are reasons, why Orange amps still are popular and used today. This one is a nice vintage variation, but even rocks nicely standalone, if you look for hotter and heavier sounds, use the 808 Octane or a external overdrive/distortion pedal and you also are there.

A more solid, more balanced sound, warm, bluesy or even jazzy cleans and full bodied (British) overdrive to heavy overdrive sounds, which nevertheless can offer more than enough treble bite and offer an excellent (passive) bass-tightness control too. So all, you really need in my opinion, even in 2025.

But - and this is an advantage for me - you either like the sound of Orange amps or you do not. They have their own, unique character and do not try to please every taste and Orange also always did their own thing, independent of any mainstream hypes and developments. (If you like Marshall and Hiwatt sounds, you most probably also will like Orange sounds, if you like Fender/Mesa Boogie sounds, maybe not so much.).

The real amp is a 120W beast without Master, as a plugin this hardly is a problem, but maybe another reason, to use the plugin instead of the real amp.

A must have for Orange fans, I think and also for me, as I the last Nembrini releases had not been so much my taste. This one is it again and included pre- and post-fx sections are nice additions too! Well done.

Something very different and rather unusual from Soundtoys.

Interesting plugin for different, interesting off-mainstream or experimental sounds and soundscapes. Sound quality is excellent, as everything from Soundtoys, so are the adjustment opions, once you have learned, how the plugin works and a lot of very different soundscapes are adjustable, usable for different purposes.

The visualizer can be helpful, to understand, what happens.

Both a fun-toy and a professional tool, if you know, what to do with it.

Not only a convincing Plexi plugin, but - for me - also the by far best and most authentically sounding Jose (Arredondo) Mod simulation, I know.

A lot more gain and harmonics and still this excellent, fast reacting, vivid (hot-rod) Plexi sound. Perfect.

A pure amp plugin without any additional "toys", no even a cabinet section, but these things I usually anyway hardly ever need or use, but the amp simulation does a better job for me than some commercial amp plugins do.

Maybe could be a little less noisy, but this is complaining at high level.

In principle a cool idea, also most of the tones sound really good, but not all, some also can sound too bassy, too trebly or in some other way unbalanced. Nevertheless the majoritiy of sounds really work well and the variety of different overdrive/distortion characters is convincing.

Don't forget to save the sounds, you like.

Just add a cab IR, or not even this and you maybe do not even need an additional amp plugin. Not all, but a lot of sound also are well usable standalone. (The pedal on/off option maybe deserved a visual LED control too, as the two different footswitch positions look too similar for my taste.).

What I miss, is an additional, at least simple tone control for fine tuning, some sort of TMB control would be even better. (But you can also add an external eq-plugin, which does the job.).

As it's freeware, even offers a noise gate, hardly a reason to complain.

Interesting, unique pedal, if you look for some different sounds from your guitar. Reminds me of some analog synthesizers from the 1970's in a positive way. A lot of different sounds adjustable, nevertheless would be even better, if this plugin offered a more flexible, variable midi-expression-pedal controllable Rate/Depth adjustment too.

Nevertheless sounds nice even standalone, in combination with an amp plugin but also eg. in combination with an octaver or pitch shifter/harmonizer plugin or other effects. You can get some nice, simple, but real-time polyphonic "fake-synthesizer" sounds out of a guitar, and with the mixing options you can use them alone or in combination with the tone of your other gear too and this without any latency issues or additional hard- or software.

If you like the sounds, is a matter of taste, but in principle the pugin is well made and sounds good and different. Also well usable for different, additional synthesizer/keyboard voicings, for bass anyway, maybe even for drums/percussion or some strange vocals with certain settings.

Worth a try in my opinion. At the moment a bargain too.

Well, certainly not one of the most beautiful plugins, also the very technical documentation, which unfortunately also includes some necessary informations about installing and the differently modeled versions, but often not at first glance visible, most probably will not please everybody, nevertheless it is one of the most professional and competent documentations, I have seen for an amp model plugin.

But - the sounds - if properly adjusted - are excellent! At least with a matching cab IR behind and a noise gate in between.

I hardy before have heard so natural and authentic Tweed Deluxe sounds from any amp simulation plugin. They even are offered in different variations - which you do not even get in reality, unless you order or build yourself a customized version with these modifications - additionally the "options"-site even allows some more fine-tuning or tweaking. What the different options affect and in which way, is intensely described in the documentation.

Great tones from classic vintage clean to this typical, slightly broken sounding Tweed Deluxe crunch in CD SE3 mode, CD BAL and the LTP modes sound a little different, a little more British in my opinion, but in different ways. Even these typical Neil Young sounds are well adjustable in 12AX7 mode, turn "compensation" off and increase input gain a little, but you can also adjust completely different sounds up to even nice Vox or Plexi sounds, if you have learned, what to do where.

With all the tweaking options properly used, after having understood the informations about the controls in the documentation and in combination with matching cabinet IR's a lot of authentic but also a lot of differently voiced sounds are adjustable. So you can tweak your own, unique boutique amp sound completely for free, at least, if you have taken the time and have found the necessary informtaion in the documentation.

Nevertheless this plugins also works as a plug-in (your guitar) and play plugin, but the really great sounds I rather got, after having read a lot and tweaked a little.

Even the added speaker IR (which needs an additional IR loader) sounds good, very authentically and matches well. Also interesting, how different IR's affect the sound and often need completely different settings. Proves for me the quality of the tones, as every guitar gear is some sort of interactive circuit, so not every combination automatically sounds right, the right combinations make the great tones, but also the not so great ones.

A little complicated first, on the other hand really professionally made and - most of all - sounding.

The only disadvantage, I have found, is, that this plugin at higher volume settings definitely needs a good noise gate, but this also concerns a lot of commercial, professional plugins, which often have the noise gate built in and this gem is freeware and I anyway have some nice noise gate plugins, so this is no problem at all.

Another comparable plugin, based on a 5E2, AC-30 or 1959 circuit also would be very nice somewhen.

One of the best sounding and flexible amp plugins, I have heard during the last time and this, although I am not really such a great Tweed Deluxe amp sound fan, but maybe the reason is, that I never got close to a real one, which sounded as good as this plugin does. And it also did not offer so many excellent alternate sounds...

Some people do, what, they can, a few ones really can, what they do! Mr. Keller definitely belongs to the very rare, second league. At least for me.

Thank you very much for this very nice plugin.
