rePEDAL is an experimental machine learning project from Sampleson, currently in beta. It generates a new, random overdrive pedal every time you click the REMAKE icon.
It works by randomizing the structure of a neural network, creating a unique model with each iteration. This project explores the creative potential of neural networks in sound design, moving beyond mere hardware replication.
rePEDAL is available as a VST3 and Audio Unit plugin, compatible with any DAW that supports these formats (e.g., Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, etc.).
To get started, simply load rePEDAL as an effect on an audio track in your DAW. Then, press the REMAKE button to generate a new, randomly created pedal model.

In principle a cool idea, also most of the tones sound really good, but not all, some also can sound too bassy, too trebly or in some other way unbalanced. Nevertheless the majoritiy of sounds really work well and the variety of different overdrive/distortion characters is convincing.
Don't forget to save the sounds, you like.
Just add a cab IR, or not even this and you maybe do not even need an additional amp plugin. Not all, but a lot of sound also are well usable standalone. (The pedal on/off option maybe deserved a visual LED control too, as the two different footswitch positions look too similar for my taste.).
What I miss, is an additional, at least simple tone control for fine tuning, some sort of TMB control would be even better. (But you can also add an external eq-plugin, which does the job.).
As it's freeware, even offers a noise gate, hardly a reason to complain.
