From the moment I loaded the Quantum Room Simulator onto my master bus, I knew I'd found something special. As someone who's tried countless reverbs over the years, this one immediately stood out for its remarkable depth and character.
What impressed me most was how it transformed even the flattest recordings into three-dimensional spaces. Working on a vocal track that felt lifeless, I applied the "Small Wood Room" preset with minimal tweaking, and suddenly the voice sat in a convincing, natural space that felt like an actual room rather than an effect.
The seven room algorithms each have their own distinct personality. The smaller settings excel at creating intimate spaces without muddying the source, while the larger algorithms (especially the Taj Mahal setting) create expansive atmospheres without sounding artificial. The freeze function has become essential for creating evolving ambient textures in my productions.
The 10kHz bandwidth option is perfect for emulating vintage recordings, adding a gentle patina that tames digital harshness. I've found myself using this on drum buses to create that elusive "glue" that's so hard to achieve with most digital reverbs.

I've been using Observer_01 for about three months now, and it's genuinely changed how I approach rhythm in my productions. As someone who felt stuck in predictable patterns, the geometric sequencing concept clicked with me immediately.
What I appreciate most is how it encourages happy accidents. Yesterday I was just rotating shapes against each other without much planning and stumbled upon a groove that became the foundation for an entire track. That sense of discovery keeps bringing me back.
The learning curve was steeper than I expected - I spent the first week just figuring out how the collision system worked. But once it clicked, the depth of control became apparent. I particularly enjoy tweaking the chance parameters to add subtle variation to otherwise repetitive patterns.
The presets were helpful for understanding the workflow, though I found myself quickly moving beyond them to create my own patterns. Some of the effects are more useful than others - the spatial panning and retrigger functions get regular use in my projects, while I rarely touch the reverse option.

You can really tell how much time and attention to detail Eric Valentine put into this emulation. His ear is absolutely impeccable. Closest to an UnFairchild itb.

A very interesting way to shape the tone of your sound. Works better than just boosting those frequencies with an EQ as it introduces less resonance. I think it works best in conjunction with an EQ so that you're not left with any undesirable/unwanted artifacts.
Makes drums blend in really well with other melodic elements! I also like adding it to drones/ambience to make them sit even better in the final mix.
The "loosely" controlled interface reminds me of Nils Frahm's approach to performance - organic and expressive rather than rigidly quantized. Yet when you need precision, the alternative control schemes deliver exactly that flexibility.
The multiband processing feature is a game-changer. Being able to split loopers across different frequency ranges creates textures that would typically require multiple plugins. The "Split" mode makes this complex feature surprisingly accessible.
Perhaps my favorite aspect is the transient snapping capability. Having loopers automatically detect and lock to transient positions in real-time transforms even basic material into rhythmically compelling loops. The adjustable sensitivity gives you fine control over what constitutes a "transient" in your source material.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to expand their sonic palette with an instrument that feels alive and responsive.

Was very pleasantly surprised with this one. First of all, it's almost always on sale so I think I got it for like half off. I think of it as an almost toned/stripped down version of Omnisphere. The presets pretty much all sound great. It also uses very little CPU.
Would absolutely recommend. Has a very unique and diverse set of sounds. I really like the GUI as well.
As far as ROMplers go this one was actually a nice surprise to me. Has some very solid sounds for RnB/hip hop/trap.

Best cello sounds I've ever heard. Period. And Tina Guo is a goddess. Crow Hill is on an absolute roll.
