a very interesting take on a compressor saturation plug. first impressions its actually really nice the saturation is controlled by a little drop down menu with different saturation styles. it sounds very nice on guitars and on drums not what i would use on on a master bus but still very good and smooth. sadly no 64bit so its not going to get as much use as it should from me but from my first impressions its a great free comp that out shines some pricy ones. i find that its looks and feel are very quick and easy to figure out and the distortion types are actually very very good. thumbs up for this one. this is defiantly a keeper for those who use want a good free plug that will not sound like crap.
this is the smoothest cleanest plate reverb i have ever used. its good for drum room reverbs, vocals and, guitars. i use it for smoothing out electric or classical guitar playing. when you use just the tiniest bit it really has like a smoothing effects with just the right amount of depth to give my tracks a full thick rich sound that doesn't have all that harshness in its tone.
its input nob is actually more of a signal in leveler while the output controls the reverb output. i find it adds just that little extra tweaking to it i also really like the tones you can get with its une and sound nobs they can really mess with its plate sound to get the right sound for the job. the input can also be processed in a number of ways to get the right effects for you all in all its a very smooth stable reverb and i find it never breaks up or sounds unnatural easily.
a few things you might want to know is that that volume nob is for the reverb output more or less so even at 100% dry you still get a little reverb unless you turn the volume out down. the cool thing is that it doesn't seem to affacet the input much so you can get a pretty interesting balance of in and out signal.
the only issues are that it doesn't have presets in it right away i never checked the site for em because i find the default is a very good starting place. and that it is very CPU hungry. that being said the CPU hit is not because of poor programing i find it to be a very nice realistic sounding reverb that has kicked the ass of all other plate reverbs i have demoed freeware and payware. i hear the next update should be little less CPU hungry but i rarely find it a problem .

this is all the best parts of the ANALOG87 series put into one great plugin. the high and low pass are smooth and clean the compressor can be gentle and transparent or can really flatten a signal out if you want but still never making things sound all distorted or harsh, and the eq's on this thing are very nice and clean for cutting or shaping a song or part to fit in better. the noise gate does not have the second nob or the extra configurable settings that the separate plugin has but is very smooth and quickly does what i need it to without much fuss if any. and the limiter is just like the separate one very clean and dynamic its perfect for taming transients that are to quick or spastic for the compressor to handle. or for getting a signal to its optimal level without adding any unwanted pumping or distortion to the signal. overall this channel strip has a great set of clean effects built in defiantly a great buy if you are looking for a channel strip that is not trying to emulate any specific hardware or sound.

first of this plug kicks the ass of higher priced limiters. if you want to pump and distort this is not for you the whole idea of the whole analog series is for clean colorless distortion free effects great for cleaning signals and really making things fit and sound natural. this limiter has never failed me it keeps the dynamics of the song while limiting never passes the set level. it never distorts on me or pumps i never get any loss of quality or clarity its perfect for pod casting and music making i do both and love this plug. don't be discouraged by low price this is the day and age of the small developer making a product with more care and higher quality than many big names out there.
i have owned thins product for about 3 weeks maybe more now so far everything i use this on just sounds better the best setting for me i have found on the strip channel is on tube if the meter is hitting 20 or 15 anywhere around there gives you nice color without adding alot of saturation the tube setting is a nice rounded mellow analog tone while the transistor setting is more of out louder open cleaner tone. both sound great a great thing about the strip part of the bundle is that the eq is dynamic and more for tone shaping making it excellent as a final plugin on your chain before maybe roundtone or your bus send. a really nice feature on this bundle is the soft ducking on the strip you can choose from channels 1 through 20 and the ducking works from 1-20 the ducking is not supposed to be for pumping more for a light blending it really helps things sit in the mix i have used it on many projects and i really fine it useful for making things fit in just right. one thing i notice is that the gain nob the first one is meant for getting your saturation settings the second one is more for setting the final levels.
the BUS part of the bundle comes with a ridiculously good compressor with a smooth saturation nob when i say smooth i mean its not really what i would use if i wanted a super dirty tone i noticed that the tube setting on the compressor has the roundest tone to me and again transistor is a cleaner louder tone the compressor is extremely good and has a nice mid side or whole signal settings with parameter modifications. the mix nob is perfect to get a nice parallel compression.
the problems i have found are that the second tube setting on the compressor dose not work this is a bug that is going to be fixed in a update soon to come out. one thing i noticed about the saturation is that to much seems to take away from the bass but on more mid and high end dominant sources it really sounds smooth and nice to my ears the bass just needs a light amount to sound nice this might be what was intended unfortunately the online manual is not exactly easy to understand at least its not as detailed as i would like but still good if you have any questions just email the creator i always get outstanding a personal information. i would also suggest checking the website for exact info
