N-TEN-AT4 VST Vintage Console Channel Strip

Reviewed By [all]

Version reviewed: vista 32 on Windows

The only trouble is processor hit, you get a complete channel strip and filters and preamps, it takes patience to achieve the proper results and a lot of bouncing down but the sound speaks for itself and the UI's rival any UAD offering that Ive seen, roll on the tube EQ and compressors aqua fx style. The only F#c@ing Gripe is I wish they would use a different copy protection similar to plug in alliance, sknote or sonimus with the details stored in the VST code, there sales would rocket because they have to ask high prices but they have had to use the worst copy protection going, believe me people prefer Dongles to serial and authrisations. Id be happy with the 1 license for my project studio but because of all the bottom feeding pirate scum Im constantly emailing serials back and forth in stead of enjoying the FX, I make music to fund the software because the emulations are becoming that good they are mindblowing. Anyone want a tester drop me a mai!. Groovy 01.

VTM-M2 Vintage Tape Machine

In short, I have used most of the tape emulations going but when this is tuned to high freq, and pushed to the limits its sound is on a unique level on its own when the peaks start saturating and the real crisp frizz kicks in and fries the signal, but thats the whole point!!, I hear too many people going on about tape this, analog that, but if you are after a truly vintage sound different to others, and you want that professional sheen then these are as close as you can get to the real thing, plus they are rock solid stable concerning against nebula, Ill be watching these cd soundmaster fx from now on, Ive just bought w735 eq and Nten which you can use as filter banks or the real smooth sound'of a single pro eq band api 500 lunchbox style, its a processor hit alright but thats the point, simply sweeten the sound and bounce, repeat.BLISS. I was thinking UAD but Ive tried liquid mix and VVK and IIR native effects have even come up with better results. Consider for the serious musician to get a proper sound. Groovy 1.

  • Never tried hardware version, but tried a lot of Eqs and tube Eqs as plugins, for the money this does exactly as its description implies and does it extremely well. The added harmonics from each version are definitely its best selling quality. I was stunned after running a drum loop through at its richness and warmth in depth, especially in the low end, this is not your average go to EQ, neither is it one you will constantly use, but, and this is a a big but, this is one serious characterful EQ and if you are after sheer deep lo end and warmth, even better in Mid/side mode, then it is a must have. The two modes each offer various tonal artefacts and for me it is sheer brilliance for taking a poor sample such as a kick drum and or drum loops and running them through as though it were some expensive outboard, the results then speak for themselves. To date I think this is SKnote's best plugin yet, and it beats some of my far more expensive ones too, recommended.
