Review Something or Find Reviews
A bit daunting at first, and only couple of presets, but if let go and just play with the controls, you get a very usable range of synthetic kicks, for any occasion, even getting close to acoustic sound.

This is magic out of the box.
Expresive, deep, clear sound with a bunch of presets.
This synth comes through.
Not surprising from u-he.
Greatest strength of this program:
Singular experience across 2 affordable price tiers, evaluation and 3 operating systems
(everyone has the same set of features no matter the OS or level of investment).
Performance and GUI consistency are at the forefront. It feels very much like a fully professional DAW. Combines functionality patterns from Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, Cakewalk. Has its own feel, yet feels familiar.
It's actually worth the price, because it's not a lock-in.
My fav features and highlights:
- well thought out plug-in / processor "rack" functionality.
- digital asset management features (media explorer, plug-in explorer, etc.).
- complete functionality of piano roll (multi-functional).
- very organic and feature complete arrangement area.
- mixer and track list very well designed.
- extremely customizable mixer with customization profiles.
- unlimited routing capability.
- fine control of hardware abstraction.
- multiple ways to do everything.
- single searchable list of every action.
- full keyboard mapping.
- works out of the box.

Tried the free version, and it delivers!
Very musical, expressive and quite accurate "physical model" of a snare drum.
Simple, no-frills interface, yet versatile, great sounding "all-round" acoustic snare drum.
For adding a human touch, acoustic feel, expresiveness and life to your tracks.
Highly recommend! It does one thing, and does it perfectly.
If you want a snare drum but don't feel like your samples ould cut it, this is worth it.

I love TBProAudio mvMeter and dpMeter. That is my reference.
BUT... this lil' baby packs performance.
At half a MB, very realistic VU meter that adds <0.5% of processing to the mix.
Adjustable reference, HOLD on/off, stereo/mono.
And that's all there is.
But with metering, performance is the key.
So, 5 stars.
