EDIT: Developer has fixed the Tahoe install issue with 1.0.2! Thank you, the plugin now loads.

Ok so, first impression is the plugin seems like it's based on a cool idea, but in its current form functionally kind of half-baked. Control feels a bit janky. I'm not a programmer myself so I can't point the finger too much but it definitely seems kind of "vibe-coded", with plenty of flaws still to smooth out.

The sample cluster display is cool but I don't understand why it's spinning, and where there is various text (bottom right) that suggests it would control the movement of the cluster (Orbit, Zoom, etc.), clicking here doesn't do anything. Controls missing?

The plugin only scans max 2000 samples (my sample library currently has ~438,000 samples :D) - so it's not a catch all if you have a big sample library.

The ability to drag samples out of the plugin (as you can with XO) would be game-changing. I love the serendipity of stumbling on obscure sounds I never listened through - as a self-confessed sample pack hoarder this is common for me - and being able to quickly drag sounds out into a single sampler is a massive part of my workflow.

It seems like the sequencing aspect of Pathfinder could lead to cool results, but in it's current form it's a bit too much of a wrestle with strange functionality and a slightly confusing layout. I will keep checking back to see how this plugin develops. It could become something great. Thanks for your effort, Mr. Developer. Keep going with this.

PREVIOUSLY:

Plugin is not copied correctly to Plugins folder on Tahoe 26.2 / M2 Pro. Using installer for version 1.0.1. Would like to try it out but the installer does not work. Pathfinder.component appears as a Folder/Package, not a bundle, has weird access restrictions, is not being detected as a plugin. Does not show in Logic at all. Same issue with the VST3.

Hey, my apologies I have a full user guide coming with detailed explanations of every aspect in the UI, but there are also tool tips you can enable if you click the ? Button at the bottom.

For the text you're referring to they are explaining what the mouse controls are that control that orbit and field. heres the key:

RMB ORBIT: Right-Mouse Button Orbit = hold the right mouse button down over the field and drag it. It will orbit around the field. This is so you can explore the field manually it stops the rotation.

WHEEL ZOOM: scroll your Mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the field.

MMB PAN: Middle-Mouse Button Pan = hold down the middle mouse button and drag to pan. The camera left right up and down and explore the field.

SPACE SPIN: press the Spacebar to start and stop the spin of the field.

R RESET: press R on the keyboard to reset the view to default.

I capped 2000 samples because it just gets too crazy beyond that, but I'm open to adding a toggle to the settings menu for edge cases.

Dragging OUT samples is definitely on the to-do list for upcoming features once the contest is over! Draggin IN samples is already possible.

I hope that helps.
