I Built a 3D Noise Machine for Ableton (Free) - SpectraNoise V1.1
SpectraNoise V1.1 – Free Max for Live Device An evolving 3D noise instrument for Ableton Live SpectraNoise is a Max for Live device by Stephen Black (Supertramp162) that transforms raw noise sources into a playable, tempo-synced spatial instrument. Generate evolving spectrums of White, Pink, Brown, Violet, and Gaussian noise — then sculpt them into rhythmic textures, pulsing percussion, or immersive atmospheric movement. The update introduces a clock-synced envelope generator on each individual noise source, allowing you to morph from infinite sustain drones into tightly shaped percussive hits. Each envelope features a dedicated control dial to determine how much it shapes the signal — meaning SpectraNoise can function as:
• A drifting ambient texture generator.
• A tempo-locked rhythmic modulator.
• Or a fully evolving 3D noise drum machine With tempo-synced stereo motion and reactive spatial modulation, every layer moves dynamically within the stereo field — making it ideal for experimental percussion, transitions, atmospheric scoring, and live performance.
Features • 5 noise spectrums: White, Pink, Brown, Violet, Gaussian.
• Clock-synced envelope generator on each noise source • Adjustable envelope influence (from infinite sustain to percussive shaping) • \.
