Thanks Xtrax!

Report on the 3 verbs: the latest builds seem to co-exist nicely on my W7-64 system, although Breeze is now definitely the more "girly" GUI. ;)

And for some reason, Breeze no longer loads in Chainer, which I know is now an old unsupported host... But both of the latest Aether and B2 builds load and work fine in Chainer, so this may point to some other issue. Or not; just an FYI...

What is "Chainer"?

Do old host projects that are saved with Aether and Breeze instances load correctly for you in your host with the latest Aether and Breeze? What host?

"Chainer" is Xlutop's Chainer. Like I said, an old host. I think it's VST 2.3. Some plugins simply don't work in Chainer because it's not maintained, so I'm not that concerned about compatibility other than the fact that Aether and B2 work in it but Breeze doesn't.

Actually I had a bit of a startle today when I loaded up a recent project that used multiple instances of Aether and B2 (but no Breeze) after I updated all three to the latest versions. It slammed my speakers with full volume noise which I fortunately cutoff rather quickly. It's not a crash because I can turn off plugins and at some point the noise stops but I can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I tried turning off only Aether and B2 instances, but until I turn off a few other plugins, the noise continues. This is a project that previously rendered without issues. Still investigating...

Post

Update on my previous post: I managed to create two projects, one in which the high level noise occurs on load in, and a second project with the same instances of Aether and B2 but disabled (on the same group track) which loads in without generating the noise. The on/off status of the plugins is the only difference between the two projects.

Once the first project which generates the noise is loaded, by muting the same instances of Aether and B2, the noise subsides after 10 seconds or so. However Aether appears broken, receiving a signal but there's no output from it. B2 turns on and off and resumes with no issues. Removing that instance of Aether and then replacing it with another works, and the new instance performs as expected.

After this, the issue doesn't come back once playback is started, stopped, or continued. And now an interesting bit: If this "fixed" project is saved closed and reloaded, there is no high-level noise. Everything is as it should be.

So: there is a potential problem loading old projects with B2 and Aether in use. Apologies for stepping all over the Breeze thread, but you know...

BTW: all this is Nuendo 5.5.6 64-bit, 64-bit versions of the plugins, under W7-64.

We've posted a new update for Aether and Breeze. These should fix the issue of incorrectly loading presets from old sessions.

There is a bug in the latest beta Breeze version.
Longer Halls don't perform correct. The time is a lot shorter than it should be.
And if I want to extend the time it not works. Shamballa Hall or Shangri-La Hall..should be 6 and 10 sec.

Latest working Breeze version was beta 120.
AU version on OSX 10.6.8
Just to put it here.

Denis can not reproduce this.

Edit: actually he did now find that there was an issue on OSX only. Fixed. See next post.

Hey Andrew,

I'm dying to use the 64-bit AU version of Breeze, and I ordered the upgrade yesterday, but I still haven't received the download info - why does it take so long?

Thanks.

There should have been a download link on the final page of checkout. Was there not? Perhaps you overlooked it? If so, please find your download link in your order history for this order.

If for some reason there is no download link there, order the update again. I see many successful Breeze update orders following yours, so perhaps somehow the file was still uploading when you placed the order?

I apologize, Sir, as you are correct! One less reason to use Logic's audiounit bridge! Did I mention I  your 'verb?

Is this STILL beta?

Post

TheoM wrote:Is this STILL beta?
Sure, but it is semantics...

What's the difference if we call it "1.2.0 beta" with various build numbers or we release a 1.2.0 official version and then quickly follow up with a 1.2.01, 1.2.02, 1.2.03 etc? I prefer the first method in this case as we expect little annoyances to need solving with this kind of update where we don't have full control over all the variables, and that is what this process has done.

"beta" in this case does not mean we expect it is overly buggy and unusable. It has meant that we are actively refining systems things and offering new versions more rapidly than normally. That is all it means.

This is the nature of supporting new standards such as AAX 64-bit AU and VST, and all the various new host idiosyncrasies...

There is one minor issue remaining we are trying to eliminate that mostly affects Aether and B2, then we are ready. Maybe this week still.

Well as long as the price is still available.

After losing emt250 (long story) and lexicon PCM (even longer) I am desperate for a quick dial drum verb. That's what I always loved about breeze..basically for my kicks and claps and stuff. But I am so skint, I am STILL getting hospital bills from June! Can I please have a worst scenario date id need to have the money but at the 99 price?
