Sound marvellous Andrew. The promise of reverb and drive units in free updates is also very encouraging. S-Gear is easily my favourite amp sim.

I have been playing around with S-Gear since last week and man, am I blown away!
So far, I have been using Guitar Rig from version 1 through 5 and Amplitube version 2 and 3. S-Gear is not just better - it simply redefines amp simulation as such. It actually is better than most real tube amps out there. It's in the same league as the best boutique and vintage amps in existence - merely distinguishable by subjective taste.
And yes, I know, that's just MY opinion, but this thread needed this.
In no way affiliated with Scuffhamamps by the way, just one happy user.
