Hi,

I like Kraftwerk a lot and as I am working on a track using 808 sounds
I thought it might be a good idea to listen and learn again.
I guess they used a 808 in this particular song and I got a question regarding
the production of the drums.

There is a metallic sound layered with the bassdrum and the snare, which I don't like,
I guess it's some kind delay or phaser with a lot of feedback and short time settings.
But I'm asking myself how they processed especially the bassdrum.
,
To me it seems like the bassdrum _and_ the metallic addition got a send
to some kind of gated reverb which is stereo and panned a little to the right
and then there is a 1/16th delay response of that reverb panned to the left.

Any suggestions for the fx chain, especially for the reverb?

Thanks in advance

Just for the records: I am quite sure the metallic effect is done by a comb filter or resonator. :)
