So who's going to get this new VST? I quite like the sound, a darker, more hoarse tone. I can see myself using it in place of cello tracks for a more ethnic vibe.

It crept to the top of my list, on first hearing. Beautiful sound ... aren't the strings made from horsehair? Maybe i'm imagining that...stanlea wrote:Beautiful demo. Great work on articulations.

This is definitely one of the best Kong Audio instruments to date, guys. I'm really busy for the next two weeks, but afterwards I hope to write a piece featuring it.

Wow, very nice... I'm imagine using it for Cellos part on live performances! How many patches were used in the demo? Can you have a quick demo with just a single patch? Well, either way, I'm going to buy it soon to add to my collection.
Congratulation on this new instrument!
Kenny.

Hi Kenny,
Matouqin VSTi's patches are similar to Chinee Erhu - not sound-wise, but in the sense of playability-wise speaking. While the design of the patches focuses on a certain flavour of Matouqin, you'll have to use the plugin the same way as Chinee Erhu in a composition, to achieve a more versatile and smooth result.
