Any love for Bars and Pipes?

When i started out, i was pretty disapointed that this had been discontinued: http://www.kvraudio.com/product/koblo-s ... lo/details Well, actually, they had a website up "Coming soon" for years, because obviously they planned a new version, but after a while that was dead also. Now, i don't really shed a tear about it anymore, there's so much quality stuff available also for small money used that you got to be quite a fool not to end up with something you can make music with. Used to use Temper too, but that was quite cumbersome, and it also had a lot of bugs.

Phrazor.

Orion too.

And of course RaX'n'TraX.

Let me think.

Nope.

Acid Pro would be the closest but that's just nostalgia. There isn't anything about that today I can't do with what I have and much better time stretching to boot.

Orion..It was so fast to work with.
I sold my copy to you, Theo, when I made a transition
to Live (5?)
and bought it back again later when I really missed it.

Temper was heavily inspired by it
Amazon: why not use an alternative

I just upgraded my copy of Orion today. I finally got round to it after about 10 years! It was now or never. It's not quite dead yet but only registered users are getting updates, though I guess it's only a matter of time before they stop too.

I have no idea where I'll go next. Might have to learn to play the banjo or something. . .

in the 90's I looked at Opcode Studio Vision and said this
is what I will get when I finely get to doing computer
music and had the money to afford it.

Great loss. I can only imagine what is would look like now
in version X.

The other is energyXT 1.4. If only energyXT was like 1.4
but advance on version 3 or would be now V5 if the time
was not wasted.

to a lesser extent Temper. Now only 32 bit.
If it was 64 bit I would use it as a VSTi in Bidule.

This one looks so cool. I don't know why other companies still reinventing the wheel and not just make a clone of it!
Yes, indeed it is a big loss (I have just seen the video and felt what you are talking about):

Cheers to the Opcode fans here. I started using a Vision beta pre version 1 and continued long after Gibson committed the crime of the century and killed it off. My life has been empty and meaningless ever since.

I think I've tried every DAW that's hit the market since but nothing has ever really filled the Vision shaped void in my heart.

Actually I kept clunky old Mac running the last version of SVP on system 9.whatever till quite recently but it finally got to be all too much of a hassle. It's Reaper on Windows now for me and life goes on but still ... those old memories linger ... those dreams of what might have been ... sigh ...
