Just in case I overlooked something again :
Is there any way to visualize musical scales in the sequence editor???
I am a complete crassly stupid person when it comes to music theory and visualizing scales in the piano roll editor is really helpful for me... any workarounds???
Cheers

I don't know if this qualifies as a "workaround" but if you are writing something, where do you start? Do you start by playing a chord or a melody and then find the keys or scales they fit in? If so, a cheap app like Chordex or Scale Suggestor can help identify some. Then, you can stick coloured dots on your midi keyboard to remember what notes are in the scale. Then, to explore chords in your chosen scale, you can learn just the intervals of the scale and the various chords, and name them later. Personally, I find this 'playful' approach is more fun than a 'software' approach like labeling the notes on the piano roll keyboard.

For me, it´s mainly about visualizing, where I am in the scale...
But I found, that the same trick (or nearly the same) from Ableton works in Mulab as well:
- Make an empty sequence on one track
- paint in the notes from the scale (over the most used octaves) 1 bar long
- Right click Bar 2 and choose "Set Part Start"
- if you want the sequence to be looped, set at the same point the loop start (i set the loop 1 bar long) From the composer it´s looking like this (so the "scale notes" are ignored) (ignore the missing line at bar 2...it´s just an error in the image)
You can save the created sequence as a muclip to the browser and reinsert it whenever you want
In my case it´s a C-Major scale... simply select all the "scale notes" and transpose them to which key you like for having D major or whatever...
I did the same here for different scales like minor, arabic etc...
It´s a neat workaround, but Jo, if you here me , make please a note on the wishlist for implementing something like this (scale highlighting) natively... I think it´s a great help for many newbies...
Cheers

I use this tool https://chordchord.com/ (https://chordchord.com/) for building chord progressions. It's very intuitive and easy to use even for the starters. Hope you will find it helpful.
