There isn't problem doing so with an audio clip.
Is it even possible to drag the filter into a midi clip.
Thanks in advance!
I had a rack-mounted one back in the 80's (before free VST delaysPT wrote:I was reading that Sonar's midi effects has a delay that works by repeating the midi that is fed into it. Practically no cpu overhead.
I make MIDI only vsts with Synthedit.PT wrote:A VST like a reverb or delay proccesses audio. Until the midi passes through a Vsti like a synth or sampler there is no audio to proccess.
Don't forget, these days the cpu required to calculate all the multiple delayed synth voices will probably be far greater than that required to simply delay an audio stream..haydxn wrote:well, it doesn't create additional audio-processing overhead by way of effects, but it does use up your synths polyphony. therefore it's not possible to achieve a traditional sounding delay effect on a monosynth, unless the notes use are shorter than the delay time.
