Ignoring all the other crap that has gone in this thread...

I listen a lot less now than I used to. The two main places I listen to music are in the car (where subtle stuff requiring a lot of attention doesn't work) and at work (where I don't want to be too distracted).

I tried to make a point of making music I'd listen to at either place, as well as lying down with headphones on completely absorbed in it... but then I went and got all ambient-like so the car's kinda out :?

I have to listen to modern pop at work. I listen to comedy in the car. I listen to me, singles from iTunes, or KVRians at home. My electronic stuff still winds up sounding like identifiable 80's pop songs.
