I certainly won't buy it before demoing it. I have been brned too many times to buy without testing.

I'll guess $89 and be happy if I'm right

Yeah, I'm steeling myself for somewhere around the $100 mark. Anything less is a bonus.quincy wrote:I think any of you guys (and girls) will be bloody lucky to pay less than $99 for the upgrade. In fact i'd be seriously shocked if it was any less.
$49 - $69?! Yeah good luck with that

The trouble is, as they still haven't said exactly what the upgrade price will be they are probably watching this thread and deciding just how much they can really get away with charging.
I say, I refuse to pay more than $20.
Who is with me?

The more i think about this, the more I am thinking it'll be $69. Here's why: I believe the reason they said it will be T2 minus T1's price was to keep people buying T1 until T2 is ready. If it turns out the newer T1 custies (say from the last 2 months) have to pay more for T2 than a new T2 custie, they'll piss of a bunch of newer users. But since they didn't put out an official 'buy T1 between blah and blah and get a special upgrade price to T2' they'll likely give that good deal to all T1 users. Make sense? I think so.

Earlier in this thread I offered to beta test the dollar amount you are willing to pay--simply send it to me and I'll let you know if it works out. As of now, I have received $0, so I'm informing Mackie that the beta test results are that the upgrade will cost nothing.

Yes, he would have been -- hopefully, though, he won't have been ...braj wrote:I hope so ($80 upgrade that is), I sold T1 to someone for $40 on the basis that it was a good $40 off the T2 upgrade price. Which is my understanding per T staff comments. If it turns out to be $119 then the guy I sold it to would have been better off just buying it for $149 without the upgrade.

I'm sure that would make his day, if so.Lunch Money wrote:I don't have any inside information, but I've read virtually all the threads... and even if we don't get a full $80 off I'm sure he'll at LEAST get his $40 value.
