mea culpa - I forgot you can't render.

Any plugins *other* than ST Free[1] I can try?

[1] last time I tried it the install went to hell, and I've never wanted to touch it since.

I think there were some problems SOMETIMES with Linplug stuff if I remember correctly. I just noticed that the old bug thread is no longer sticky'd. I'm sure every one of the VSTi's that had this problem is listed there....

They were consistantly the ones (even the full versions) that people mentioned over and over, and probably make up the majority of what is the infamous "stuck note" issue. Anything will do, so long as it has a note at MIDI measure one beat one. Perhaps trying different note lengths as well would be cool just to double check. If this is just a rumor that I've been hearing it would be best to nip this one in the bud....thanks :D
Just downloaded Sonic Synth Free and can confirm the problem is still there. Its very specific though; the note has to be quantised to exactly the very first tick (I cured the problem by simply adding 1 tick to the note start time in the properties panel) and other synths (eg Wusikstation) work fine..

Anyone notice random stuck notes everywhere? I was seeing this last night with my Oxygen8. Kind of annoying.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I get the odd stuck note with my Oxygen8, but it started when I bought that keyboard, not when I got T2..

Bummer, sorry to hear that. Why is this problem still there? It's not like it was this RARE unheard of bug or something. This would happen in T1.6, and it required no such quantisation, it just happened on the first note no matter what. Again, bummer. Some folks are not going to be happy this wasn't (totally) fixed....me, I'm just kind of disappointed.
Um....

I didn't know about it. It seems to be specific to these plugs you mention (never happened with any others I own anyway) and the cure is simply to select the notes at the start of the clip, click in the start time field, and press 1..

The only render export bug I've ever had - and to this day I couldn't say whether it is the plug or Tracktion - is a few muon plugs tend to render portamento when notes butt hard up to each other. Shortening the note by a tick fixes it.

Not really. You should check out the thread I posted the link to above....

What, the twelve page vst incompatibility thread? Give me a break. If you can't be arsed to describe what you mean, I can't be arsed to help you with it..

I don't know about the Muon ones, but the IK/SR ones seem to work just fine in other hosts, so it would have to be Tracktion in this case. Really liked Tracktion's one page workflow, but I guess I'll probably have to pass on T2, as a well known issue with some of the more popular and widely used VSTi's gets overlooked/ignored. It's (ST SE) even supposed to be included as a free plug with T2 - didn't anybody notice/check this problem? Guess I'll have to wait to hear of a bugfix, or perhaps T3. Best to you....

If you can't be arsed to not be an arse, then I don't have to be an arse and buy this (somewhat non-functional) product, do I? Geez, if it's you they're depending on to get problems right, and you won't even read the problems thread....well, there you have it.

Not me, we weren't given the plugs to beta test (the tight buggers).

You never did answer my half question in the vst compatibilty thread: are you using mac or PC, and does render at 1x make any difference for you?

Ermm - plat doesn't actually work for Mackie, so that's not really a threat.

Whilst obviously if we notice problems with specific plugins we would report them, the beta testers were not specced to test any plugins other than the Mackie/Acuma ones, neither were we provided with them. Platinum is under no obligation, either personally or contractually to hunt for compatibility issues between Tracktion and 3rd party plugins.

If my wife lets me have a fewhours to test things, and after I checked some stuff out for kL, I'll take a look at rendering as you described. If I can replicate and document the bug I'll pass it on.
