Hi all,

I find that when tried to load any instrument in Sampletank 2 (the full version) it causes my entire system to freeze up with the only way out being a reboot. This applies both when using the plugin on its own track, and also when it's wrapped up in a rack.
Just for curiosity I tried it with the cut down version of Sampletank 1 and the same thing happens.
Anyone else experiencing something similiar either with Sampletank or other plugins ?

I have got a similar problem with IK's Sonik Synth 2 Free (from CM85) in T1, and other hosts.

So I think it might not be a tracktion-specific problem.

It might be some sort of driver problem, though - if I switch the audio to DirectSound rather than ASIO, then it works OK. Give that a try.

thanks darkstar and djsubject...... yes after disabling priority mode it appears to work fine.

ok now that particular problem is out of the way i have found that traktion only records and plays the instrument sitting on the first channel of the plugin, regardless of what i have selected in the 'OUTPUT COMES FROM' menus. i can use the channel selector to change to one of the other instruments loaded in the plugin but any recorded midi data still plays back with the channel 1 instrument.

anyone have any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong here ?

Is it MIDI channel you're talking about? If so you can find it in the MIDI clip's properties panel:

That often catches people out who expect to find it set per track, but per clip is more flexible IMO..

I double-checked the RTPM settings.

With it set Off the Synth is fine. Although once I was not able to open the edit, but after saving and re-opening the project it was OK again.

thanks for the tip, subject.
