So what are these "unlock options" then?

Post

Anyway - trying it now for the first time - how come I can't drag an interface to a track? I liked that. I can't see how to play a VSTi now - there's no midi input arrow to drag across.

Options -> use a per-track view for input devices

Post

That's better thanks.

Just got a shock - it was more intuitive the draggy way (for me)

Post

Yay for the draggy way - much better ! (unless you have a lot of inputs enable)

Post

Great for options cause I much prefer the new way. The little draggy things were always getting in the way of each other.

Post

I agree, and if you had several inputs from the same source, and they were buried underneath each other and you couldn't control where they started out when you opened a project. I really like the new way. Much easier and less clutter. It looks better. Not having all those scattered icons kind of cleans up the appearance for me.

I can see how they could both be be useful in different contexts - nice to have choices anyway.

Now back to the "unlock options" question :) Does this mean you can register this thing and use it without the limitations?

Post

what unlock options?

If you are referring to the register stuff, I don't think they do anything right now. They may well connect to a server (I've haven't bothered to watch outbound TCP/IP) but if so, I doubt there is anything listening that cares right now.
