i was going to buy that onyx but then after seeing that its all pre eq pre fader i said WTF and said screw it

i would like to add that it's impossible to do anything even REMOTELY like a template, or set something up to be useable before a gig, in Tracktion's current form. not only that, but it is MACKIE's fault and THEY are RUBBISH for the way that THEY have made this happen. and it's NOTHING to do with ME, my LAZINESS or my STUBBORNNESS to accept that there are MORE WAYS to do something than rely on a BIG BUTTON that says TEMPLATES

to get back to the question in hand ...

... its mainly the 'this is tracktion' feature for me ...

(although the new MIDI editor ... acuma plugins ... MIDI controller mapping ... etc are OK too)

Look folks - None of the programs that provide templates to follow your reasoning need to - We could just make a template - put it somewhere and copy and save as and go to town. But many programs do provide templates. Why? because they save steps, prevent error, and keep the user organized. Lee would like that facility which is after all not unusual - no need to jump down his throat.

The thread was supposed to be about what "new" features will attract you to upgrade. Not what features "could" be added to attract you to upgrade.

I ask mainly because it doesnt seem like there is much there for me. In fact the only really useful feature TO ME, I cant even figure out how to use. So before I part with $150, I want to know the benifit.

I really wanted to see what was useful to other, cuz maybe I missed the point or something.

Im sure it has features useful to you guys. Thats why I asked. Controller mapping is the only one so far that really seems worth the cash (again from my point of view/ work flow) Loop reacording would be nice, but it really doesnt make a big differance to me. The midi stuff I really dont use (my computer suck ass and virtual instruments just dont work right)

Please dont take this as bashing. I dont mean it that way. I just aint gonna spend any money with out thinking Im getting something worthwhile to me. It isnt important that we see it the same way. If I had plenty of cash, which sadly I do not, then I would buy it just for the plugs. Of course I would have a computer that could make real use of them too. Right now I have to render just about everything.

So you see its really ME that has the issue not T2.
