I was worried about the neck, too. It's a solid piece of maple - no seperate fingerboard - and I think that helps with the sustain. It's actually really nice to play , not sticky , but slick. The neck is *thick* though
The clean sounds are good - there is a real character difference between the pickups and you notice the throaty edge to your sound when you move to bridge-only. And you can't get a pretty decent twang out of it
birrbits - I would have loved to find some other stores. Problem was that I had literally a one hour window. George's is right across from Wet'n'Wild so I dived in, tried out a few, double-checked this one again , then bought. There was *no way* I was persuading Mrs. Scuzzphut and the two junior phuts to go to any more music shops
