Hi everyone,

I have a version of Tracktion that came with my soundcard (Layla 3G). When I try to upgrade, it says that I don't have an eligible version of Tracktion, so I can't upgrade

Is it normal ?

Did you ever register it? I don't mean to imply that "if you registered it, it would work" because even then, I still don't know for sure. But it's just the first thing I was wondering.

All installed tracktion SWs are automatically registered when unlocking. I think it's just a mackie website bug, i had same problem.

Thx guys

Hi Ben,

First thanks for your answer !!!

Yes, I registered at mymackie.com when I bought my soundcard (T was bundled with it) 6 months ago.

When I log in I get a page...

http://my.mackie.com/profile/member.asp

... with "Your software Licences" and "Your registered products"

It says that I have a software licence for T1 (running on 2 computers) but no registered products.

And when I try to upgrade I still get the message :

"We're sorry, after reviewing your account you do not have any eligible Tracktion 1 licenses..."

OK, I just looked over the info I have and it looks like for the third party bundles like yours, there is no T2 upgrade path at this time. I'll double check that when Mackie opens in the US and post back in a bit.
Sorry for delivering the news you probably wanted to hear.

Hmmmm, would this also include those who got tracktion bundled with mackie products - such as spike?
Just wondered as i've noticed quite a few people with that particular bundle.

No these are treated differently. Spike, Onyx Firewire, Onyx 400f do have an upgrade path. Check your my.mackie.com account for details (assuming you registered your Tracktion).

If you ever got a mail from mackie I would say it should work.

Post

Ben, imagine my excitement when I received an e-mail telling me that I could upgrade to T2 'as I was a registered T1 owner' only to find that when I clicked on the link and input my login I got the same "We're sorry, after reviewing your account you do not have any eligible Tracktion 1 licenses..." message!! I must admit I was surprised to receive the e-mail anyway because I have the NFR version but I'm also a little bit angry that I got the e-mail in the first place. Surely I have a right to be eligable now for the upgrade as this is mackies mistake and not mine.
