That's what I was thinking. Maybe everyone having issues has FL5 installed. I could see Rewire issues popping up even if you don't launch a rewire slave, because some sort of service is running.valley wrote:didn't early FL5 revs have ReWire problems?braj wrote:What are you rewiring? FL5 to T?

Well, I'm just a starving artist, what can I say. My soundblaster works fine in FL.
& I'm re-wiring to FL and Reason. And I'm having trouble with both. I get crashes that blame Rewire...

That makes no sense to me. I had FL and Reason on my computer and worked daily with both applications together and seperately for 18 months and have no issues (only 2 crashes come to mind). Then I install Tracktion but FL must be the problem? No, I just think Tracktion is buggy. A good attempt but definitely buggy. That's what I was thinking. Well, thanks anyway guys. I'm glad it works well for some but at this time it doesn't meet my needs. I'm very sad about that too!
Such a great workflow. And nice Automation curves... Great ideas. I'd love to make it my host but not right now! Party on!

yeah,ASIO drivers aren't great with a soundblaster..nothing is really great w/ a soundblaster..you will be limited until you ditch it...EBAY everything not nailed down and then get an interface!
good luck....but tracktion is realy not a buggy program..it is one of the most stable sequencers I have ever used.

FWIW: zzounds are knocking out the M-Audio PCI 2496s for under a hundred bucks now, which has to be one of the cheapest ways to get a decent ASIO card around.

i had this issue also (and i have a legal t2 version, but had it also with t2 demo). the settings file of t2 isn't saved correctly for some reason. deleting it fixes the problem (it's in your profile directory not in tracktions main directory) i made a copy of it as it runs fine and when it's broken, i replace it with this. it's fast to do. (i have a link to the directory and the settingsfile on my desktop and so i simply had to drop it on the link to the directory). but i can't tell when this error happens.
i need a lunch break

I can´t find the T2 settings file. What is the exact name and where is it (Where is the profile directory)?aldi wrote:i had this issue also (and i have a legal t2 version, but had it also with t2 demo). the settings file of t2 isn't saved correctly for some reason. deleting it fixes the problem (it's in your profile directory not in tracktions main directory) i made a copy of it as it runs fine and when it's broken, i replace it with this. it's fast to do. you know, I had exactly this problem when I installed the lastest T2 download, after I paid for my upgrade. At the same time, I replaced my mobo, CPU and videocard, and reinstalled XP. There were some problems with my upgrade (dodgy cable from mobo to HDD), so I thought this was related somehow to the corrupt settings file (I had other weird behaviour in XP). All is running fine now, but seeing as other users are having issues, I wonder if the corrupt settings file was a problem on its own, something with the T2 install. I will keep a lookout.aldi wrote:i had this issue also (and i have a legal t2 version, but had it also with t2 demo). the settings file of t2 isn't saved correctly for some reason. deleting it fixes the problem (it's in your profile directory not in tracktions main directory) i made a copy of it as it runs fine and when it's broken, i replace it with this. it's fast to do.
