Wait! I haven't voted yet!

... what's automation?

But I did just buy some beer. Would you like Kirin or Corona? :)

I can only tell you (because I know it from Podolski), the ArpModulator is freaking kickass!
I've hardly ever seen something making up for such an amount of patch constructing fun!
Yeah well, some synths have step envelopes which might be doing the same - but I dunno, for whatever reason this just feels so organic (maybe because the rest of the components is just sounding so great).
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Oh my!!! My MY!!! That is just about the most gorgeous thing I have seen. And to think, all of this happened when I was just waiting for Zebra for PC. This is one of the nicest synths to come along in awhile.

There was a thread about "have we seen the horizon, or limit, of VST tech...." and the guy said that he didn't want any of Urs' stuff. Well, all I can say is....too bad for him...all the better for us.

Post a link! Post a link! I wanna read what the crazy guys says! I wanna read what the crazy guy says! :hyper:

Man Urs, this is gonna crush! Not to mention, the "gooey" is fantastic. All the additions are done very neatly and well laid out. This will be supafun to automate in Live. Thank you for all your hard work!

Pough,

It was this thread.

Not sure how to post threads so hope it works. Man it got heated in there. But I did get a laugh out of that guy saying he wouldn't be interested in stuff that Urs makes. Hah...

I think it is ground-breaking.

Post

Ah... please don't jump on that man... I guess it was all just a misunderstanding and we got pretty heated up there...

I know, I know, I was thinking about not even resurrecting it...but I really wanted to support that I think you are doing incredible things and taking things in new directions. Filterscape showcases that in so many ways. Just wanted to show support and appreciation for both your hard work, and vision.

Post

Yes, I see... thanks

 I wasn't expecting a link. I was just kidding. If I really wanted to read the rantings of a crazy person, I'd read through putte's posts.

Just kidding! putte's good news!

Seriously, the concept of FS is just refreshing (well, actually even Podolskis layout is). Let's just agree that we can't help people not agreeing.
Personally, I didn't have as much fun as with those for a long time, sonic qualities are amazing too and CPU usage is still making me wonder whether Urs has found some magic coding formula.
Mind you, I'm a PC guy, and considering for how long Urs actually seems to be coding (or transfering code) for that platform it's just incredible what the results are like.

If it wasn't too pathetic, I'd bow before Urs.
Well, I do even IF it is pathetic...

Fiterscape is the most fun I've had since microTonic and I don't think it's a coincidence that both of them have such clean and friendly GUIs

the interface makes a huge difference in the experience of using a software tool and the few where knowing very little one can stumble around and figure out how things work by visual and audio feedback -- well it's pretty rare and wonderful

i think it proves we all like tweaking around with things and getting something to predictably react to our changes - the fact that it sounds great and doesn't use much cpu makes it all the better

Hey Urs, is this update going to break Q6 automation or just VA automation?

Only VA!

Filterscape & Q6 keep the same parameter layout as Version 1.0

Cheers,
