Ok, I'm taking suggestions. Keep em coming, and I'll do what I can. If you have any songs that you want a beat from, or similar to, please let me know. I'll constantly update the collection also.

There's one specific beat I'd like to use, when T2 eventually makes its' way to the UK in a box: it's the beat from 'Security of the First World' by Public Enemy, off 'It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back'. The one that Madonna's songwriter ripped off for 'Justify My Love'.

Why not try to program it yourself?dry bones wrote:There's one specific beat I'd like to use, when T2 eventually makes its' way to the UK in a box: it's the beat from 'Security of the First World' by Public Enemy, off 'It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back'. Back in T1 when I couldn't get any drum machines to work on OSX, I mapped a lot of kits with the sampler... I have a bazillion drum hit wavs! (one word: Doru!) It works very well, and you can control what note numbers the wavs are mapped to of course... Easier for programming! Also, I did some BD samplers, SN, HATS etc. for individual channels, before racks... works very well! Unfortunately, the "dropped note" thing, sort of killed that idea (T1), but that seems to not be an issue anymore, at least in OSX anyway!

Okay, Portished Dummy is kinda the feel I'm looking for. I can never seem to find anything like that. I have an Ibanez AS80 semi hollow body guitar so I'm dying to do some real laid back guitar stuff with loads of verb.koolkeys wrote:Ok, I'm taking suggestions. Keep em coming, and I'll do what I can. Thanks for the help. What is Doru? I'm assuming that with the T sampler I load up a list of WAVs, and assign each to their own specific areas of the keyboard? I really have never used one before.DHR53 wrote:Back in T1 when I couldn't get any drum machines to work on OSX, I mapped a lot of kits with the sampler... I have a bazillion drum hit wavs! Spot on! For drum hits its usually best to turn on one-shot mode (sorry can't remember what its called atm) although if you leave it off for your open hi-hats you can use the note-length to cut it off on the next closed hat. (RMIV probably has 'mute groups' to do this automatically)dry bones wrote: I'm assuming that with the T sampler I load up a list of WAVs, and assign each to their own specific areas of the keyboard?

Thanks for the pointers DHR53 & 'ears:I've just ordered Doru Superdrums 8000. For 16 quid, what a bargain; it looks like it's going to save me so much time trawling t'internet

RMIII has support for choking, so I'm confident that RMIV's will be at least as good as.'ears wrote:(RMIV probably has 'mute groups' to do this automatically)
