Mr McDonald.

A physically modelled Rhodes, Wurly, and Leslie respectively.
Mr. Ray is listed as working/unsupported, but Mr. Ray 73 is a vast improvement
on the original.
yes, indeed! very useful! I already have those plugins on my HD, too!

mr mcdonald: great leslie effect... I was experimenting with it a long time.. but I can't control the slow/fast-function via CC#80 of my TRITON... :( have to check this...

CC#80 is used by Receptor for "F/X C Front Panel Parameter 1" In a future version we may have a more flexible way of assigning CC#.

If mr mcdonald publishes its parameters you can assign the slow/fast function to one of the front panel parameters and use the respective CC to control it. It's all in the manual.

BEN

Looks like you need to update the database with the new stuff on this thread.I went and checked a few that I had reported a few months ago..and the database is the same :-)

Also, from the same bloke that brought us Mr. Ray73 et al...
the Organized Trio works quite well on Receptor and sounds pretty fine. Maybe a notch below B4....but free....

I've updated those that are in the DB. :D

Thanks Ben!!

heres another one that works

Dash Signature/Nu-softing DK+ Drums.

Just drop the folder into the unsupported plugins folder on receptors HD.

However the DK+ Pattern Sequencer needs a MIDI start to start the pattern sequencer, so it does not work, but the drum kits all work fine and can be accessed.

Heres some more for the list that works:

1.NoteGraphica VST A very cool vst that allows you to draw in your envelopes for every parameter: filter, picth and volume.

2.The new Voyager VST. A large GUI, but fits in receptor very well. looks like a huge modular IMHO

3.Zguitar and

4.ZMachine: nice simple VST's that work great.

5. The much talked about Silkworm VST

6.Republica: a Chez VST..nice.

However..tried Sophia and crashed my receptor and took me 1/2 hour to get it up again..so thats all the testing i'm gonna do today :-)

basically, after dropping the Sophia folder into the uninstalled folder, then going to setup and INSTALL, it restarted receptor. Waited several minutes, then I had to turn it off and restart it, and hold down the MULTI button. I finally got back to the desktop with relief, and went an deleted the sohia folder from the rec. HD. Did not want to experiment anymore :-)

When you click Install the plug-in cache is deleted. The purpose of this is to force the re-building of the cache in case of a crash. Then, the unsupported plug-in is instantiated in order to get the info that needs to get in the plug-in cache. At this point your plug-in crashed.

When Receptor restarted it had to rebuild the plug-in cache. This can be a long process, but the benefit is that after that, Receptor starts very fast. You probably did not have enough patience and restarted Receptor before the cache was rebuilt. I think there is a very good chance that if you waited long enough Receptor would have booted just fine.

Rebuilding the cache may seem to take forever, but it should be 2-3 minutes. For Tim, it may take much longer because he has tons of plug-ins.

AINT THAT THE TRUTH!!

However..idea for next version..double clicking on the MULT button is the same thing as holding it down..as it does take a long time, and hlding it down that long ( 5 minutes I think :-)) can give you a cramp :-)

I'm sorry that the documentation was not clear enough. You don't need to hold the button that long. Once you see "Loading..." on the front panel you can wait another couple of seconds, and then let go.

What we should probably do is display "Rebuilding cache..." or similar on the front panel.

Ok

some more that work:

1.Ganymed: an excellent FM synth. It has an onboard sequencer that sounds very cool and texturic ( is that a word?)
2.Big Tic's AngelinaFX
3.ConcreteFX Unison: but only presets. Editor asks for S/N and can't put it in.But presets work fine from the mix panel.

another one that works: Novation V station via unsupported method.
