Samplitude is really great product and by far my long-time favorite among heavyweighters, especially in terms of sound.rainydays wrote:But I think I'll set up a samplitude project as well so I have something to fall back on if it goes wrong somehow. Not that I think it will.
In same time Tractktion is simplier and more intuitive for fast music making. Finally IMO, although it was long way to prove it to my ears, T2 is overall better sounding in final mix (30+ tracks).
If you can't do big project with T2 something is wrong with PC or setup, not Tracktion.
For your reference, tracks mixed in Pro Tools of highest caliber with HQ plug-ins didn't sound any better (I would say much worse) than same tracks mixed and processed with HQ VSTs on T2. Of course, PT offers some other dimensions for studio work, but in terms of sound, don't worry.
