Hello again.
I figured out the my MOTU 896HD wasn't compatible with the FireWire NEC chipset. So I tried T2 with my M-Audio MobilePre instead. I managed to record 2 tracks fine. On the 3rd track, it froze the entire computer. Anybody experience this?
I'm running an HP nc6000 notebook.
Thank you.
simon.

I've been having lock out too. It happens when I try to import
wave files from a cd or from disk. Its a real hassle since I
lose everything in the current edit that has not been saved.
I'm running a toshiba satellite laptop.

Does anyone have any idea what can be tried here? It seems a waste that this is happening...

My old laptop has a lot of problems reading from the CD drive (lock ups etc.), its like it takes up all its resources or something. Luckily I dont use it for audio at all.Iain wrote:I've been having lock out too. It happens when I try to import
