Glad to hear that you like it, Matias. It's done by a producer(Jonseng) here. And besides ChineeWinds, all other parts were performed by China Philharmonic Orchestra.

Wow!! really?
Great mix of talents, that work would fit perfectly on a movie.
wish you both the best. ChineeWinds sounds really good too.

No kidding. The demo left me stunned! That's a really beautiful song. I'll definitely be checking into ChineeWinds!

I liked DEMO 2 the most.
It has that "thing", how should I call it, "life story" and/or "sad is beautiful" that is missing in western culture.

It has what sets Chinese music apart from any other music.AndrewSimon wrote:I liked DEMO 2 the most.

I hope they'll make an Erhu next!

Dizi, Xiao, are really beautiful instruments indeed. Thank you all for the kind words.
@Spyro, Well...to be more exactly, it wasn't the entire China Philharmonic Orchestra, AFAIK.
@AndrewSimon, Demo 1&2 were made by HiMo(Wang Bei), a Chinese producer/performer. His site is http://himo-studio.com/, but it's not really upped yet, so if you are interested in his music, you may want to check it up later.
@Gregjazz, Erhu is on the radar...

Is that a dizi or a xiao that the woman above is playing?
I downloaded the 9mb version of the vst and I think it is exellent. It is very playable and very well sampled with a good attack that lets it be played quikly as well as slowly.
Keep up the good work.

Great to know you like Mini Dizi, PT. Mini Dizi is a serverely watered-down version of ChineeWinds with a very limited number of samples. But it's still probably the best free flute VSTi out there.
Be sure to check out the tutorial MIDI files(it's designed for ChineeWinds, but it works for Mini DiZi as well) to get an idea of how a dizi is supposed to be played, just in case you are not familiar with it.
The girl is playing a DiZi. Basically, a Dizi is held horizontally, whilst a Xiao is held vertically.

We have a new demo song made by the same artist, Jonseng, who made demo 3, but in a different style this time.
You guys may be interested in checking it out.
Jiu Qu Shi Ba Wan
Please note we've added a periodic beep due to that this is going to be released on a forthcoming album.

Wow, nice demo! The singing is very nice and the lyrics are very poetic...
The Mini Erhu is very good as even just a demo VST. Here's something I made in about 5-10 minutes:

When I listen to songs, I can pick up phrases here and there... like: "Is that a 蓝蓝的天 I hear?" But because you don't sing the tones, sometimes it's harder for me to comprehend.sosayweall wrote: So, you do understand what she's singing?![]()
