A regcleaner doesn't really clean stuff, it deletes stuff. Its the only thing it can do to fullfill its menial purpose. Sometimes this is a thing of beauty as 5,000 useless keys are deleted. Other times when an impatient, frustrated idiot, er, user, gets their hands on a regcleaner, the poor 'cleaner' panics and deletes stuff it should never even dust.
But what the hell were you doing in the registry?? Playing, Hey, look at me, I'm Uber Geek??
Messing with the reg without parental supervision is the fastest way to hose Windows. Next to pressing the Start button.
Glad to hear you got it sorted. Now that you have a backup of your reg, for even more fun troubleshooting, do you want to know which keys to delete to stop the keyboard and mouse from working?
