But it also says that if you reinstall T1 (such as in the case of a reformat) that you might get a new machine ID. But then it also says that you can only get so many new machine ID's, before it prevents you from unlocking it. This is to prevent giving it to all your friends (understandable).
So if these numbers keep on changing everytime I reformat my computer, and there's a limit, then what's the limit? You can change the two Machine Numbers above if your hardware changes or you want to run Tracktion on a second PC. Please note that to prevent people from giving out copies to all of their friends, there is a limit to how often and how many times you can change these numbers.
If you're wondering why I am concerned, it's because I blow away my XP installs a lot, be it for housekeeping issues, or hard drive upgrades. For instance, last year, my desktop went from a 40gig EIDE to an 80gig SATA to a 250gig SATA, all with fresh installs.
I am honest in that I don't share T1 (as much as I'd love my friends to be able to collaborate with me) but I do do regular reinstalls, for legitimate reasons.
I was just wondering if it's a limit as far as how many times in a given time period, or if it's how many times indefinitely, and that one day I will end up with an unlockable T1 app, even though I am still on the same MAC address, same motherboard.
