I am going MAD now that I have my new ChineeKong!!

Totally amazing & has already inspired three new tracks!

Anthony & Shan -- What's amazing is that I am just watching Ling Dian on CCTV and their keyboard player I could swear is using Chineekong loaded into his Korg Karma! :o

Did you sell them one??

I love this band (they live near me here in Wang Jing) and their progressive rock interpretations of some old traditional opera is amazing -- it's stunning. These guys have to be one of the hottest new bands in the world -- absolutely no joke.

Cheers mates - I am really happy with this instrument! :D

Alex

Just have to ask a basic question, as I couldn't really tell from the descriptions: ChineeKong is a sample-player that plays the individual instruments, correct? I'm just wanting to make sure it isn't an instrument that plays back entire loops, like the free demo loops.

If it is a big collection of these instruments, and you can play them one at a time, then I am very interested.

One last question, again not mentioned anywhere on the web page: you mention a challenge/response system, but can this be accomplished without having the computer connected to the net? I keep my DAW completely off-line, and if it is just a matter of getting a code back for a particular installation, I can do that with my office computer.

Thanks!

Thanks for the interest in ChineeKong V2. No, it's not a loop player. All samples are one-shot samples.(there are a few exceptions, but those are not loops either. Those are more of a one-shot short performance of special technics)

No, your DAW doesn't have to be connected to the net. You just need a way to send us the challenge code and recieve it, then you can type the code into the plugin.

Excellent.

Perfect. I'll get it together and get an order in to you. If it matters at all, the compositional demo song, as well as the loops, really sold me on this product!

Hello,

So, I ordered the product a couple of hours ago - how long am I going to have to wait for some kind of contact about downloading, authorizing, etc?

Why does everything have to be one sale at the same time? I am very interested in the Wind/Kong promo, but there's probably not an ice cubes chance it'll happen before the 15th. Oh well. I look forward to getting it though and putting it through its paces in Overture 4.

Cool mate! Enjoy and hopefully you'll eventually let us hear a bit of your compositions with it down the road! ;)

How far out is it before the Erhu is released? Now that's something I WILL NOT be able to pass up. Even with RA and Ethno World 3, I still love me some ethnic tools.

Wait, does that sound right?

Hur hur, he said tools.

Well, often times good things don't last forever...

HOWEVER, I bet if you actually sent in an eamil requesting that a copy/copies be "reserved" for you, ala 'Raincheck', you might be pleasantly surprised!

*In case you haven't grabbed the highly acclaimed free kong loops pack(made with nothing else but ChineeKong V2), go get it from here:
http://kongaudio.audioshots.com

How do you play these samples in Cubase ??
I've downloaded the pack (containing .waw files) and
the Phatmatic.dll.
Load in phatmatic in cubase and push the open bottom.
Then it looks for .rex files, but I have only .waw files ....

Best regards
Kenneth

Please.. give us an erhu teaser (sample) I can't wait till you release the program..
/Kenneth

Hi Kenneth, those are 'phatmatik pro' ready files. Those loops will work in phatfree(KVR/CM) as well. But they won't work in the plain phatmatik, which only supports the rex format.

ChineeErhu should arrive in the rather near future, but we cannot give out a fixed date...
