ChineeKong - P5/Sonar issues or can I just buy the samples?

I am so impressed with the demo I would probably slap down my credit card right now but from browsing the threads it looks like there is a problem with the sequencers I use, Sonar 4 and Project 5.
I would be just as happy to buy the samples themselves since I use Battery and Kontakt.
I hope you can help me with this, sounds like this would be great for my music.
TIA
Dana

Thanks for the kind words about the audio demo.
Yes, there does appear to be some problems with Sonar. There isn't much we can do at the moment. A user has reported his success by using energyXT(VSTi version) as the 'alternative adapter' to run ChineeKong in Sonar as a workaround though.
ChineeKong is our flagship product, so we have to be cautious about it. Currently we do not have any plan to release the raw samples, nor as any sampler refill.
The upcoming ChineeKong update(free for all registered users) will bring on a keyswitch feature to add some interesting flexibilities for live performace purpose.

OK, I can understand why you wouldn't just sell the samples, just asking about that.
May I ask is there any in-house testing going on with the Sonar/P5 problem? I did read about that workaround with enegry XT, but for me it would mean another $50, simply to use your program.
I couldn't tell from the threads if the playback was what was most affected, or just when you are keying in the notes? If it plays back correctly, I ********might********** be able to live with that.
thanks much, I do appreciate you taking the time to respond.

I myself do not have access to Sonar - and the fact that the demo version of Sonar doesn't contain the VST Adapter doesn't help the situation either...That said, I suppose Shan has access to Sonar from his studio.
AFAIK, the issue is there with playback. Note that this is not an official comment though.
I do suspect there might be some options that can be tweaked from within Sonar's VST Adapter. But I'm not familiar with Sonar at all so...

Woodamand, I use Sonar and never encountered a single problem with either ChineeKong or ChineeWinds. I use the Cakewalk VST Adapter that came with Sonar, and didn't have to do any tweaking.

I could beta test it if you wanted (if Shan doesn't have Sonar), I have done testing for Muon and Seer Systems and Applied Acoustics Systems - do you have a demo or a version of your software with say just one sample in it? That would be enough for me to test it, wouldnt you think?
Just a thought.
Just a thought.

whoops, I didn't have the reply form Gregjazz there, before I wrote my response. I wonder how your system is different than the people that were having problems?????? Hmm, maybe I should just spring for it.
thanks

I'm one of the people who have reported problems in P5v2/Sonar. I've experienced sluggishness during playback and recording. The main thing I've noticed is a 1-2 second delay between the time you click the transport and the time the transport actually engages.
The problem does go away when you wrap it with energyXT. I've been meaning to buy energyXT for some time, and I have been having similar problems with Kubik, so it just made sense for me to go ahead and get it.
I'm using a 2400+ 2Ghz AMD Athlon, with 1 GB of RAM, and an Audiophile 2496 soundcard.
Hopefully this issue can be fixed, because otherwise I'm really enjoying ChineeKong.

I've had to reformat my computer and reinstall everything and it still worked without any tweaking -- just ran the ChineeKong installer, then ran the VST adapter, and then ran Sonar.woodamand wrote:whoops, I didn't have the reply form Gregjazz there, before I wrote my response. I'm running it on a Dell Dimension XPS Gen 3. The processor is a Pentium 4 with 3.6 GHz CPU. I only have 510MB RAM, so that's gotta change, though.
