I'm now an official ChineeWinds owner.
Finally!
Just waiting for the 300 meg download. I'm not sure if I can handle the excitement.

hmm........I don't know if I agree with that missing in western culture thing - I can think of lots of classical music that captures that feeling perfectly to me, that is, if I get what you are saying. I mean, listen to Chopin, or Schubert solo piano music, for instance.Gregjazz wrote:It has what sets Chinese music apart from any other music.AndrewSimon wrote:I liked DEMO 2 the most.
It has that "thing", how should I call it, "life story" and/or "sad is beautiful" that is missing in western culture.![]()
I hope they'll make an Erhu next!
Anyway, Chinese music is great, I am not trying to start any flame wars or anything.....
thx

Both Winds and Kong are like opening up amazing new creative avenues to explore (at least for moi).

Yes, some classical music has shades of it... but of course it's also very much personal taste. Chinese music really touches me and usually brings tears to my eyes. No other music I've listened to gets close -- so it's personal taste. Other people might find other types of music to have that effect.woodamand wrote:hmm........I don't know if I agree with that missing in western culture thing - I can think of lots of classical music that captures that feeling perfectly to me, that is, if I get what you are saying. Horse Race (which of course features the Erhu) is one of my favorite Chinese songs. So much so that I transcribed it off of a Melody Of China CD.

I was one of the early purchasers of your library in the GIGA versions as I'm on a Mac using Kontakt. Will I be able to access these new sounds in GIGA format?sosayweall wrote:It's the new phrases of DiZi that we'll add into our next update. Free for all registered users of course.
Great new demos and teasers! Love your stuff.
