I also received a reply from the mackietech email, the extra plugins are only included in the boxed version of traction 2. Up until now, spike only comes with tracktion 1 and you have to upgrade. Thats all fine!

And the Spike is still $249 with T2 non-boxed. Clear, thanks.

Actually the spike package on sweetwater includes T1, the advertising on sweetwater is a bit misleading (this was confirmed by a sweetwater rep). I received an email from mackie, they have not as yet released Spike with T2.

I think the sweetwater Spike offer is still great, I'm going with it, at some point later I'll do the T1-T2 upgrade...the funny thing is that I haven't even purchased the laptop as of yet. I'm going in reverse...software, then computer. I hoping to test out the laptop with the software before completely committing to the laptop.

"Now when you register Spike, you're automatically upgraded to the new Tracktion 2 Software at no additional cost to you" from here.

hemant, you need to read the link I just posted (again) carefully. You keep missing it. It doesn' matter that it ships with T1, you will get the upgrade to T2 when you register.
