Thats what I thought but I hoped maybe you had some secret work around like you usually dodjsubject wrote:loop mode will allways start from the beginning of the loopAD80 wrote:So if I hit spacebar twice, I can record starting at any point even while in loop mode?djsubject wrote:BTW even though my post was pointless, its the only way to get it to happen
but a work flow tip would be
click to desired record point then QUICKLY hit the space bar twice then hit r, this should take no longer than 0.5 seconds max! after 10 practice runs
once it becomes habit its not so annoying

Is anybody's recording experience actually improved by that stupid new feature?
i work with vocalists most of the time & they like to sing a tiny part of the track again & again on loop mode (then leave me to find the best bits)
i realy need this to be in Tracktion to work on recording vocalists!
my tip would be to assine a easy access short cut key to the loop mode transport control, so turning on & off is only a key press

At this point tho we really need count-in when in loop mode. We never needed it before but now we need it despirately. And by "we" I mean people who record midi.
