Trust me.
Several people have mentioned the "good old days" of pre-Mackie Tracktion. Well, back in those days, a developer could post a link to a new bit of software - like a state-of-the-art VST metering plugin, for instance - and everyone on the forum would download it, try it out and come back with helpful comments (both positive and negative) which would aid in its future development, benefiting everyone.
Shame. But those days really have gone now, it seems...

... many of us are still REALLY grateful for what jules has done for us (hence some of the strength of feeling seen here you know ??? however misplaced (and im as guilty as charged as anyone) the venting of that feeling is) ...
