Can't you just cut the section you want to pitch shift, put it on a new track, and insert the pitch shifter on that track?

Of course, you can make the crossfades as tiny as you want. It's just a matter of zooming in closely enough, and making the overlap only a few ms, or whatever the shortest amount allowable is for an 'auto crossfade' within T.

Mind you, at a close enough zoom, you probably won't even need to cross the fade, but it never hurts.

If you're already zooming in that close, another thing you can do is just drag your 'sliced' point to the nearest zero-crossing. It won't be 100% effective, but in many cases it'll help.

Thanks Greg,

I think the auto crossfade option will do in most cases.

Yes I could do that or split the clip at both ends and add the filter. It's trying to get a seamless transition between the cut or split section and the rest of the track is the tricky part. On loud rock music it's easier to mask transitions but occasionally I record choirs and small classical music ensembles where transitions can stand out like the proverbial sore thumd unless you are very careful. Thanks for suggestion.

No probs, mate - I agree with Greg, in that case - you can zoom in on the waveforms insanely, and you'll find a spot!

Thanks again. May the waveforms be with you all.

Well, we already have RonC 2.1, which is the latest in JUCE technology. JUCE being the code library that forms the backbone of Tracktion. RonC 2.1 is the most obvious 'next step' in the development of the platform. It has intelligent mixing abilities, a level of creativity not seen before in an AI, and exhibits signs of independence.

There are still a few bugs to be worked out, but by the time we reach RonC 3.x, I'm confident that the product will be everything it was intended to be.

...that reminds me, I think there should be an additional $100,000 Loebner Prize every year for the inverse of the Turing Test.

This could be a great source of additional income for our Ron.
