That's cool then. But at least you know what is coming up...

My GUI slowdowns disappeared with the release of 2.0.1.3.

Good to hear it's fixed for you, but I don't think I'm the only one still having problems. Having said that of course, there are some from here who HAVE now gone on to other sequencers instead...

Ironically, I made the switch from a Matrox G550, which many consider to be one of the most stable dual-head cards ever created, to a Radeon9000, which I was loathe to do because I do not trust Radeon cards, and I find them unreliable. There's 2 levels of irony there.

I agree, it IS bizarre. But until you can reproduce it and have other people reproduce it, it's irresponsible to simply call it a "bug" and rag on Mackie about it.

I didn't call that one a bug or "rag on Mackie" anyway. And I agree with your overall point that people shouldn't do that in this kind of instance.

The problem I have is with people (not even YOU in particular, because you ARE very level-headed as a dude) calling "bug" when a bug hasn't been identified....

I agree. Sometimes it is a system configuration thing... or even simply user error.

I didn't notice that you put a "sad" smiley. I must have thought it was a or a , because it just seemed to me that we had gotten to know and understand each others' perspectives enough that you would have known I was joking. I'll be more sensitive in the future.

Surely not . Seriously, yes I did think it was basically a joke, so no big deal. I did just want to clarify though to anyone who thinks I have abandoned Tracktion as rubbish and gone over to Live in a big huff... that that is not the case. I really like the workflow of Tracktion and loads of its fantastic features. I will use it again tommorrow if I can only sort out the issues. I'm even thinking of rolling back to T1 in the meantime, just so that I can get back into using it (not that there's anything wrong with Live either... I want to use BOTH!)

And if an update DOESN'T fix the problems? If an update NEVER fixes the problems? ... I'm not ruling out the possibility, but I hope that you're open to trouble-shooting from all angles and not just waiting for an update.

I've done what my limited knowledge allows for at this end. And the BIG thing to remember is that Live, Reason, Audition and Sibelius are all working an absolute treat... which is the good news, anyway. In some respects I guess it's greedy of me to even want Tracktion as well as that lot . To be honest I admit that I do prefer Live overall, as is clear in a whole pile of posts I make on the main foruim here at KVR... but Tracktion still has a place in my heart too

Early next year I'll be replacing my laptop, so if nothing improives in the meantime I will get to try out T2 on a while different system... which I'm really looking forward to!

I hope you can also understand why I take that role.

I do understand actually... and I guess I do something similar with regard to Ableton here at KVR
