So all the MIDI is getting rerouted to Track 1. I think that's a technique that many people use to send lots of tracks to one plug-in. Another technique is to make it into a rack, but others on this list have reported latency issues with racks, so I chose the former option.
Ok, I have never done that. Still an infant in Traction2 and working with vst's and plug-in's. I will have to try that! Thanks

How do you send all your tracks to the same SampleTank instance? Is there another technique I'm unaware of?
Actually I have been using the ST2 on each track that I need it on, as I use differnt effects and voices on each track. Or a variation of the same voice for depth and presense. Seems to work pretty well. Makes sense though, if using the same voice on multiple tracks. I think I'm learing more from you in this tread than you could ever learn from me. I've been playing guitar and some keyboard for 43 years but only just started with doing my own recording with a computer and such. Actually awakens many ideas each time I learn a technique or way to use this program. I've very happy with it... This is a great conversation Thanks! This week (Monday thru Thrusday) going to delve into this I'll keep you up to date...

Peace...

Well, each instance of SampleTank2 offers sixteen channels. So you can actually handle up to sixteen different voices (each with their own effect) with just one instance. It should be much easier on your CPU.

Tracktion 2, SampleTank 2. I'm still having the problem. Mostly it's the drum loops that don't stop, but occasionally it's a synth pad sound.

This may be a bit OT, but if you go to IK's website they have ST-free. ST-free has many different instruments, and some are better than ST-2.
You can not however put all the sounds into one ST folder. They have to be treated as 2 seperate filters

It gets weirder. Some of the instruments stick when I render! Turning off dithering seemed to make the sticking go away during rendering, but not during playback.
