I´m always interested in your synths because often they are defined against the mass of other synths on the market.
You write on your site:
"Modelonia is a novel physical-modelling synthesizer which uses a hybrid of two distinct model 'types'-
a plucked-string model, and a blown-bore (ie trumpet-type) model.
Modelonia is not simply an emulation of acoustic instruments, nor is it your standard VSTi synth."
Which realistic sounding acoustic instruments can be emulated with Modelonia?

opposite to HarpTime and Peti, Modelonia has not been designed for specific instrument emulation,AndreasE wrote:I´m always interested in your synths because often they are defined against the mass of other synths on the market.

though it emulates the acoustic beahviour of strings and horns so that you can virtually build new instruments with some of the expressive characteristics of real word instruments,
in terms of pure emulation you may get close to brass, horns, bass guitar, clavichord, harmonica, accordion and others

Just tried the demo.
Interesting Synth but in a way very special! Very nice Pads and emulations of brass or winds!
I dunno if its my monitors (Im not in the studio) but I had the impression some sounds come in very high freq's... ? right ? or not?

Hi liqih,
Sounds quite nice! Very nice brass sounds.
One early bug to report: when I loaded into MiniHost, I got an error message loop and had to hard shut down.
The message is:
"Error! Can't save preset. Demo Version!"

Just tried, and I must say I can really create some original sounds. A tempting VSTi that's for sure. Any chance Modelonia could respond to sustain pedal messages? And have a mono mode for leads and basses?

The full version will support the sustain pedal.Paulie Phonick wrote:Just tried, and I must say I can really create some original sounds. A tempting VSTi that's for sure. Any chance Modelonia could respond to sustain pedal messages? And have a mono mode for leads and basses?
Mono mode support is planned for future versions, as far as I know.

This synth sounds really cool. The patches are well-made too. Congratulations! BTW, who did those 'Chinese' patches?

ou mean quan yin and journey to the west?? I did them. I will be posting an update for my patches soon, as I did some tweaking and re-designing, but liqih couldn't get them in the demo in time. I will put a link here. The 'new' quan yin patch sounds much better!

I don't have any problems downloading the file. I just tested it twice. Keep persisting, it is really worth it!dusted william wrote:I've tried to download about 5 times, and it keeps timing out.
