Need some Waves Plugins for Vocal Processing - does waves run ?

Unfortunately Waves plug-ins do not run and Waves is against Receptor running their plug-ins. They probably think it competes with their hardware box.

TrackPAD 3 works.

Here is what you need to do:

1. Download the latest TrackPAD3 here:

2. Create a folder called TrackPAD in "Unsupported Plugins" (optional).

3. Unzip TrackPAD3_alpha7a.zip and copy TrackPAD3_alpha7a.dll in this new folder.

4. Create a text file called TrackPAD3_alpha7a-custom-info.xml - the name has to be exactly like this. The contents of the fils has to be:

Make sure there is a new line at the end of the file. Save or copy the file TrackPAD3_alpha7a-custom-info.xml to the TrackPAD folder (it needs to be in the same folder as the TrackPAD3 dll).

5. In the SETUP page (with "Include Unsupported..." checked, of course) click on Install.

It instantiates as an effect. It passes the audio through, so you do not loose a channel.

I couldn't make it respond to MIDI notes, but you can save patches and move from one to the next by sending program changes. Make sure you have more than one page if you want it to remember the first page.

On the Mac you can even cut and paste. Use the Paste command from the Edit menu of Receptor Remote. Command-V does not work. You can probably run the plug-in in Windows, use cut and paste, save patches, then import them in Receptor.

hi guys,

just a little note about version 7a.. it was a test for a guy who was having issues with loading it in nuendo, although it turned out the issue was that the plugin is an INSTRUMENT (because it is more likely that hosts are happy to send it MIDI data that way) and he was trying to load it in an effect slot. 7a was a compile with it set as an EFFECT instead, just to test. I forgot that when i sent ben the latest link...

I've done a rebuild with it set back as an INSTRUMENT (maybe this will make it easier to send it midi messages...) and also with the effEditOpen call returning a 1.

This plugin uses the same 'default system app settings location' for the config file, so i'll change that later to just use the current plugin directory (in both this and the oblique plugin. i'm not sure what i was thinking when i made it like that...)
