Hard to explain this functionality, I think it's called "region groups" in pro-tools:
To be able to select a region vertically across all tracks, including automation and tempo changes, then be able to cut, copy, move, and paste, and maybe even loop that region.

Yes, folder tracks is a biggy. But there's also the horrendous issue of automation not being affected by tempo changes!! If you add tempo changes existing automation gets completely misaligned. I think that clip-based automation is the solution.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

that seems more like a bug...chagzuki wrote:Yes, folder tracks is a biggy. But there's also the horrendous issue of automation not being affected by tempo changes!! If you add tempo changes existing automation gets completely misaligned. I think that clip-based automation is the solution.

Folder tracks, better loop record features (count in, convert multi clip into single clip, convert single clips to multi clip, and filters in midi clips (which would make it easier to do things like add delay on a section of a track).

Na, it's not a bug. It's just the way that T handles automation. It's linked to the track instead of the clip. Clip-based automation is one of the biggest feature requests here, along with folder tracks, so I'm assuming that it will be added in time. I hope so.Rock wrote:that seems more like a bug...chagzuki wrote:Yes, folder tracks is a biggy. But there's also the horrendous issue of automation not being affected by tempo changes!! Actually better would be an option to link the automation to the clip or the track, so if you want it to stay when you move a clip, you still can.
For me, I just make sure I have the tempo set and everything recorded pretty much how I want before adding automation. But there may come a day......

MIXER! go on and hate on me. i know you will.
how the heck can a mixer company (mackie) go with a software that refuses to integrate a mixer into the gui?
haha! that's always seemed strange to me. it's the one thing that turns me off to using tracktion at all. everything else is nice. so i keep it around.
by the way, im having to use cubase again at the studio. i dropped tracktion again because i can't get a client to trust my using it. what can i do? it's just a bit different for alot of people. no mixer isn't a huge help.
anyway...

How can a Tabacco corporation sponsor anti-smoking adds? Cuz they know you addicts will keep buying them no matter what they do. No matter how bad it is for you.lharless wrote:

.
If you want respect why are you using Cubase? The only app that is guaranteed to get respect in any high class studio is PT.
